Review and enforce goods classifications and associated tariff codes. Report customs regulations violations to appropriate agencies.  Service our clients and suppliers providing top tier customer service. Supervise day-to-day customs brokerage operations and staff.  Support transition and retention of customers.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to, train, and advise team in areas of Customs Brokerage Regulations. Monitor team performance against company standards and department goals; regular audit of shipment documents and accounting.</li>\n <li>Monitor problem files and implement corrective action when needed.  Issue work instructions to team members to ensure timely and orderly file flow including release, billing, and auditing</li>\n <li>Document review and assessment of accuracy, verifying country of origin/export, IOR, terms of sale and value to ensure that compliance and federal regulation requirements are achieved.</li>\n <li>Daily follow-up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers and foreign origins.</li>\n <li>Escalate any unresolved issues or risks before they materially impact AIT. </li>\n <li>Remain informed on changes with CBP and other government agencies.</li>\n <li>Ensure all team members are cross trained and that each client has a primary and backup CSRs are assigned. Create SOPs and transitioning new clients within the team</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.</li>\n <li>The wage range for this position is $72,840.00-$109,260.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A team player who works well with others – being respectful to our teammates is a Core Value</li>\n <li>A strong work ethic with an appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your role</li>\n <li>Growth mindset – being passionate about your craft, always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company, being open to change and doing things differently</li>\n <li>Customer service focus – we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Other Skills We Hope to See:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years of brokerage experience</li>\n <li>At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience</li>\n <li>Customs Brokerage License Required</li>\n <li>Well rounded knowledge of the HTSUS</li>\n <li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organized</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to be pro-active in thought and action</li>\n <li>Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment</li>\n <li>Willing to pitch in and help on last minute projects or assist team members</li>\n <li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Undergraduate Degree Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>\n<p>In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
