    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Shop Lead</strong> position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of heavy equipment and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Works as a leader of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfy customer needs and achieves departmental goals. communicates customer needs to shop management.</li>\n <li>Plans and controls cost of repair jobs.</li>\n <li>Completes parts orders and identify parts for return.</li>\n <li>Provides a significant amount of task and behavior-oriented supervision, mentoring, and training to others.</li>\n <li>Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition.</li>\n <li>Always works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.</li>\n <li>Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>10+ years’ experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment preferred.</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Proficient with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems.</li>\n <li>Quality control analysis skills - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance and communicate findings.</li>\n <li>Operation and control skills - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.</li>\n <li>Equipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures required. </li>\n <li>Must be able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals. </li>\n <li>Organizational and time management skills required. </li>\n <li>Must have the ability to set and keep priorities and professionally manage the stress associated with dealing with a fast-paced industry and deadlines. </li>\n <li>Must be a Team player that is enthusiastic and hard working with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision. </li>\n <li>High degree of interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills required. </li>\n <li>Must possess the personal discipline to establish the proper image as a representative of Blanchard with the ability to meet and collaborate with the customer in a professional manner. </li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside (non-climate controlled) throughout the day. </li>\n <li>Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts. </li>\n <li>Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment. </li>\n <li>Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places. </li>\n <li>Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials. </li>\n <li>Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting to 50 Ibs. unassisted. </li>\n <li>Physical use of a broad variety of tools and machines to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment. </li>\n <li>Must be able to lift varied weights. </li>\n <li>Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>",
