We are our employees&rsquo; biggest fans, and it is our daily mission to attract, develop, and retain the brightest stars in the business.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that appropriate continuity is maintained at all times while on the air, including programming links, set-ups and transitions (music identification to co-host, or any pre-taped items etc.)</li><li>Appropriately re-enforce the radio station brand and program at all times, including station call letters, positioning statements, creative hooks, cross-promotion, back sells, and social media for both the radio station and the on-air talent&rsquo;s brand</li><li>Professionally (consistently appropriate) deliver all relevant information on an ongoing basis, including&nbsp;time checks as needed, whether as needed, temperature checks, and event information</li><li>Competently (effectively &amp; efficiently) display your knowledge and enthusiasm about and for the music that is played, including In-depth knowledge of the music being played and staying in touch with music and all related issues (research, analysis, etc.) &nbsp;</li><li>Contribute and support the creation of the show daily, including participation in weekly aircheck sessions and participation in daily pre-show content prep</li><li>Appropriately implement all assigned duties on air, including pre-show and live interviews, writing scripts, attending station conferences, functions, and events, researching background material</li><li>Ensure that all relevant material for the show is competently prepared daily, including assigned promotion mentions, reviewing commercial logs for live tags, and scanning online for any relevant items</li><li>Professionally (consistently appropriate) and competently (effectively &amp; efficiently) appear in public when and where required on an ongoing basis, including participation in station remote broadcasts, preparation as required, representation at charity events, community events, etc.</li><li>Create and post original online content (Content must be a combination of written blog posts, video blogs, and photo galleries) that meets company standards on social networking platforms: website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other new developing platforms</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Read and interpret documents such as periodicals and news flashes</li><li>Develop and write creative and/or informative scripts</li><li>Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time</li><li>Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats</li><li>Maintain a professional demeanor, excellent communication, effective and entertaining with large listening audiences and while engaging on-air or in person with radio station clients and vendors&nbsp;</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to take and follow directions.&nbsp;</li><li>Work well independently and as an integral part of the team</li><li>Complies with Urban One&rsquo;s mandatory training and adheres to related course deadlines <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li><li>Submit to a criminal background check</li><li>Legal right to work in the United States</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>1-3 years of on-air commercial radio experience.</p>\n",
