Strong background in credit analysis, a deep understanding of Non-QM guidelines, and the ability to make sound lending decisions in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Essential Duties &amp; &nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;</span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</h1><ul><li>Review and underwrite Non-QM loan applications to ensure compliance with internal and investor guidelines.</li><li>Analyze complex financial documentation, including bank statements, P&amp;L statements, asset depletion, and rental income.</li><li>Evaluate borrower credit, income, assets, employment, and collateral to assess loan risk and eligibility.</li><li>Render credit decisions with clear documentation and rationale supporting the underwriting determination.</li><li>Communicate effectively with processors, loan officers, and other internal teams to facilitate the loan process.</li><li>Clear conditions and prepare files for closing while maintaining compliance with ATR (Ability to Repay) and regulatory standards.</li><li>Keep current with changes in investor and company guidelines and ensure adherence in underwriting decisions.</li><li>Maintain accuracy and completeness of loan files and documentation in the Loan Origination System (LOS). &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Qualifications:&nbsp;</span></strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ul><li>Minimum of <strong>3&ndash;5 years of mortgage underwriting experience</strong>, with a strong emphasis on <strong>Non-QM loan products</strong>.</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>bank statement income analysis</strong>, DSCR evaluations, and other non-agency income documentation.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines (e.g., Angel Oak, Citadel, Carrington).</li><li>Experience working in LOS platforms such as <strong>Encompass</strong>.</li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Education &amp; Experience: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., ATR/QM rules, TRID, RESPA).</p><p>DE/SAR/LAPP certification is a plus but not required.</p><p>Experience in remote work environments.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Skills:</span></h1><p><strong>Language Skills</strong>: Ability to read and interpret documents and writes routine correspondence.
