    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><u>Summary:</u></p>\n<p>Jefferies Equity Research is seeking an experienced associate to join the Technology and Information Services team, which covers the intersection of technology, data &amp; analytics, and information services.&nbsp;Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3+ years of experience.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><u>Responsibilities</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Modeling financial statements and conducting fundamental research</li>\n <li>Writing timely and actionable research reports on public companies</li>\n <li>Tracking and analyzing industry themes, news, data and trends</li>\n <li>Maintaining relationships with company and industry contacts</li>\n <li>Interacting with institutional sales, corporate, and buyside clients</li>\n <li>Attending industry events (some travel may be required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><u>Qualifications:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intellectual curiosity, avid reader, and broad-based knowledge spanning multiple industries</li>\n <li>Excellent writing and organizational skills. Must be able to synthesize, simplify, and present complex information to a wide audience</li>\n <li>Must have a solid understanding of finance and accounting with the ability to build complex financial models from the ground up (i.e., a modeling test is required)</li>\n <li>Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with Excel, including ability to work with large data sets.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines</li>\n <li>Team oriented, collaborative, and highly motivated</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Preferred Experience (Not Required):</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPA and/or CFA</li>\n <li>Equity research, investment banking, or private equity with 3+ years of experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $135,000 - $165,000.&nbsp;</p>",
