preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.</li><li>Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient&#39;s clinical problems and health care needs.</li><li>Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient&#39;s condition.</li><li>Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by Physician.</li><li>Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.</li><li>Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>Practices standard precautions and disease-specific precautions by proper utilization of handwashing and personal protective equipment.</li><li>Practices strong nursing autonomy in patient care while coordinating care with an ED MD.</li><li>Triages patients while obtaining vital signs, a thorough history, and a nursing assessment.</li><li>Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension.</li><li>Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.</li><li>Delegates within scope-of-practice to other clinical staff.</li><li>Prepares equipment and aids provider during treatment and examination of patient.</li><li>Maintains awareness of dignity, comfort and safety needs of patient.</li><li>Always provides excellent patient care.</li><li>Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies provider of patient&#39;s condition as well as any changes to the patient&rsquo;s condition, reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.</li><li>Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. &nbsp;Must be BLS, ACLS and PALS certified and competent. &nbsp;Must be comfortable running &ldquo;codes&rdquo;</li><li>Manages patient flow within the center by utilizing effective communication with all disciplines.</li><li>Is mindful of throughput</li><li>Initiates a thorough patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the provider and/or policy including patient and family instruction.</li><li>Maintains, checks and utilizes a variety of laboratory and testing equipment.</li><li>Provides follow-up for all patients to ensure good outcomes and help to implement further treatment as necessary.</li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly environment.</li><li>Prioritizes patients&rsquo; safety and patient satisfaction.</li><li>Participates in quality improvement activities.</li><li>Participates in the monitoring of inventory control and supplies.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides direct patient care interventions per his/her scope of practice and as ordered by the provider.</li><li>Is mindful of procedure and equipment costs and is a steward for the company.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">State medical license</p><p>Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care, with at least one year of SOLO experience.</p><p>Board eligibility or certification</p><p>Experience in procedures including suturing and splinting, reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs</p><p>BLS/ACLS and PALS certification.&nbsp;</p><p>Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults</p><p>Energetic attitude which inspires other team members</p><p>Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization</p><p>Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure</p><p>Effective written and verbal communication skills&nbsp;</p><p>Competence with computer use and EMR.</p><p>Proficient at intravenous access for blood draw and drug administration.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Conditions&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Center-Based. Requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate and there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens. The ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>COMPENSATION INFORMATION: This position offers additional compensation beyond base rate pay!
