This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting physicians during interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety, radiation protection, and adherence to ARH policies and regulatory standards. </p>\n<h2>Special Instructions</h2>Interventional Radiologic Technologist (One year IR experience required)\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Perform interventional radiology procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and ultrasound guidance </li>\n <li>Assistradiologists and interventional physicians during vascular and non-vascular procedures </li>\n <li> Prepare interventional suites, including equipment setup, sterile trays, contrast media, and supplies</li>\n <li>Maintainstrict sterile technique and follow ARH infection prevention policies </li>\n <li> Position patients appropriately andoperateimaging equipment to achieve optimal image quality </li>\n <li>Monitorpatients throughout procedures, recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition </li>\n <li> Administer contrast agents per ARH protocols andmonitorfor adverse reactions </li>\n <li> Accurately document procedures, radiation dose metrics, contrast usage, and patient care in the electronic medical record</li>\n <li> Practice radiation safetyin accordance withALARA principles and Kentucky state regulations </li>\n <li> Ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of interventional imaging equipment</li>\n <li>Participatein on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required </li>\n <li> Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care</li>\n <li>Maintaincompliance with DNV, ARH policies, and federal/state regulations </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Procedures May Include: </p>\n<ul>\n <li> Diagnostic angiography</li>\n <li> Peripheral and visceral vascular interventions</li>\n <li> PICC line, port, and central line placements</li>\n <li> Thrombectomy and thrombolysis</li>\n <li> Biopsies and drain placements</li>\n <li> Embolization procedures</li>\n <li> IVC filter placement and retrieval</li>\n <li> Dialysis access procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s Degreeor higher in Radiologic Technology </li>\n <li> Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Licensure & Certifications: </p>\n<ul>\n <li> ARRT certification in Radiography (R)required</li>\n <li> ARRT Advanced Certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred</li>\n <li> Current Kentucky state radiologic license</li>\n <li> BLSrequired; ACLS preferred</li>\n</ul>",
