Standard work hours, benefits, and paid time off as per the Faculty/Staff Handbook.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Reports to</strong>: Hoboken Principal</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Candidate &nbsp;</strong></p><p>You are an experienced teacher with a successful track record teaching science to 3rd through 8th grade students. You are a professional who is energetic, has a positive attitude, and is a self-starter. You work collaboratively in a small community and can instill confidence in the program with parents. You are creative and flexible with organizational and broad-based student management skills in a variety of groupings from 1:1 to small group or whole section. Your strong verbal and written communication skills support your development of interpersonal relationships with students, faculty and families. You are culturally competent with effective organizational and classroom management skills.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;You bring creativity and a collaborative approach to your craft. You model a spirit of collaboration and inquiry which inspires your students to “explore, question and communicate in ways that will shape the future.” You are culturally competent with effective organizational and classroom management skills. You have the strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to develop interpersonal relationships with faculty, parents, and students. You have a passion for teaching and fostering student engagement in learning with and through educational technology. You demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness and are motivated to grow and collaborate with others. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Implement progressive education practices and hands-on, inquiry-based approach with real world application</li><li>Motivate and stimulate children's learning abilities through a range of experiences</li><li>Demonstrate understanding and commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) integration</li><li>Create a safe environment for students to ask questions, take risks, problem solve and communicate their thinking.</li><li>Develop curriculum with knowledge of assessment practices&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain &nbsp;written records of individual student development, which includes competency checklists and narrative comments on reports.</li><li>Work with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment and instructional strategies.&nbsp;</li><li>Interact effectively and sensitively with a diverse population of students, faculty and parent body.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Undergraduate degree required and completed masters degree preferred in science content area</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of classroom experience&nbsp;</li><li>Flexible and resourceful</li><li>Skilled writer and communicator</li><li>Proficient with using technology (Google Suite, Smartboard, Chromebooks, etc.)</li></ul>",
