Job Summary
The Loss Prevention Associate serves as a key protector of Lucchese Bootmaker’s people, assets, facilities, and brand reputation. This highly visible, on-site role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant work environment across manufacturing, distribution, and corporate operations. Through proactive security practices, facility patrols, surveillance monitoring, access control, incident response, and partnership with leadership, the Loss Prevention Associate helps prevent loss, mitigate risk, and support uninterrupted business operations.
This position acts as a frontline ambassador for safety and security, fostering a culture of accountability, awareness, and operational excellence. The Loss Prevention Associate collaborates closely with Operations, Human Resources, Safety, and external law enforcement agencies to identify risks, investigate incidents, and implement preventative measures that protect Company assets and employees.
Scope of Job
The Loss Prevention Associate is responsible for supporting the Company's asset protection and physical security programs through proactive monitoring, incident prevention, access control enforcement, and security response activities. This role directly contributes to reducing shrinkage, minimizing operational disruptions, protecting Company assets, and maintaining a secure workplace for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
The position requires sound judgment, strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations. The Loss Prevention Associate works in partnership with leadership and employees across all levels of the organization to identify security vulnerabilities, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Reduction in theft, shrinkage, and security-related incidents Timely completion of facility opening and closing procedures Accuracy and quality of incident reporting and documentation Compliance with access control and visitor management procedures Timely response to security concerns and emergencies Completion of required patrols, inspections, audits, and security checklists Employee and visitor compliance with security protocols Identification and mitigation of security risks and vulnerabilities Decision-Making Authority
Respond to and address routine security concerns and suspicious activities Enforce facility access control and visitor management procedures Initiate emergency response protocols when necessary Escalate significant incidents, policy violations, and criminal activity to management and appropriate authorities Recommend security improvements and corrective actions to reduce risk and enhance asset protection Core Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
Facility Security & Asset Protection
Conduct routine and random patrols of manufacturing, distribution, office, and retail areas to deter theft, vandalism, workplace misconduct, and unauthorized access. Maintain a visible security presence to promote a safe and secure working environment. Inspect facilities, parking lots, entrances, exits, and restricted areas for security concerns and operational risks. Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions to leadership. Support Company efforts to reduce shrinkage, protect assets, and safeguard intellectual property. Site Opening & Closing Procedures
Perform facility opening and closing responsibilities in accordance with Company security standards. Verify that all doors, gates, alarms, locks, and security systems are functioning properly. Ensure facilities are properly secured before and after operational hours. Complete opening, closing, and security inspection checklists accurately and timely. Report deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions when security issues are identified. Surveillance & Security Monitoring
Monitor live surveillance camera systems and other security technologies. Identify suspicious activity, policy violations, safety concerns, or potential criminal activity. Review surveillance footage to support investigations and incident resolution. Preserve, secure, and document surveillance evidence in accordance with Company standards. Coordinate with management and law enforcement during investigations as required. Access Control & Visitor Management
Enforce facility access control procedures and badge requirements. Verify identification and authorization of employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and service providers. Maintain accurate visitor logs and access records. Ensure compliance with Company visitor management protocols. Respond appropriately to unauthorized access attempts and security violations. Incident Response & Investigations
Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, workplace disturbances, accidents, and suspicious activities. Document incidents through detailed, objective, and accurate reporting. Assist with internal investigations involving theft, policy violations, workplace misconduct, and security concerns. Gather and preserve evidence while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Safety, and leadership teams to support investigations and corrective actions. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when criminal activity is suspected or confirmed. Training & Security Awareness
Support employee education related to security procedures, emergency preparedness, and asset protection practices. Promote awareness of workplace security expectations and reporting procedures. Reinforce Company policies and security standards through positive engagement and partnership with employees. Participate in security drills, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with Loss Prevention, Operations, Human Resources, Safety, and leadership teams. Participate in department meetings and provide recommendations to strengthen security programs. Assist with special projects, audits, investigations, and operational initiatives as assigned. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive investigations, personnel matters, and security information.

Required
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Loss Prevention, Security, Asset Protection, Law Enforcement, Military Security, Corrections, or a related field. Preferred
Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related discipline. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or retail environments. CPR, First Aid, AED, or other security-related certifications. Experience conducting investigations and preparing incident reports. Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, stand, and patrol facilities for extended periods. Ability to respond quickly to incidents and emergencies. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively in person, via telephone, and radio communications. Ability to operate computers, surveillance systems, and security equipment. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments. Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and perform physical activities associated with security patrol responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position is an on-site role and requires a consistent physical presence within Company facilities. Remote work is not available due to the operational and security requirements of the position.
The Loss Prevention Associate works in manufacturing, distribution, office, and retail environments and regularly interacts with employees, leaders, visitors, vendors, customers, and law enforcement personnel. The position may require flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and after-hours support based on business and security needs.
