Responsibilities Job Purpose: Maintain all electrical devices and machines within the plant and ensure proper running conditions including all safety devices to ensure proper working order. Utilize skills to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and improve all power distribution and manufacturing equipment including: Follow all Morgan safety standards and guide lines. Follow all NFPA and National Electrical codes. Utilize all Arc Flash gear when called upon. A Journeyman's card or the completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program is preferred. An associate degree is highly desirable. Must be available to work any shift schedule as assigned. Essential Functions: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods of time Ability to reach above head level when working on elevated equipment Ability to ascend and descend ladder or stairs Ability to push and pull equipment into proper placement Ability to work in extreme or hot, cold environments Evaluates opportunities to improve equipment and reduce downtime Provide technical support for all electrical process equipment Perform moderate to complex installation, troubleshoot and repairs. Diagnose and repair equipment and components such as motors, drives, relays, starters and other related electrical devices used for industrial equipment. Insure that no safety devices are by-passed or eliminated without proper authorization. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also with others in a team environment. Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment. Perform tasks as directed by plant supervisor. Qualifications 1 Must have documented proof of experience in the industrial electrical field and/or a journeyman's card. The ability to work with other trades to accomplish a positive outcome. Must be a US Person as defined by 22CFR120.15. Skill and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Strong industrial electrical background PLC, VFD and instrumentation experience a plus Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. All other duties assigned by management.
