We pride ourselves in our artists’ talent and dedication to producing world-class visual effects. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who You Are</span></p>\n<p><span>You are an experienced Compositing Supervisor ready to jump into an exciting studio environment with a wide variety of projects. You have demonstrated experience supervising teams in a VFX production pipeline but are comfortable working on the box when needed. </span><span>You are able to work with a producer to bid shots and the ability to design workflows and estimate artist time and tasks from script, concept and/or video references. </span><span>You have a strong creative vision and want to contribute those skills to a growing team and company. The ideal candidate has proven experience in supervising artists on both episodic and feature projects, exceptional Nuke compositing skills, and is passionate about delivering high quality work and pushing their creative boundaries. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Lead a team of compositors across one or more projects, providing strong creative and technical direction, and supervising shot creation and finishing.</span></li>\n<li><span>Efficiently collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, VFX Producers, Coordinators, to implement and execute clients’ vision to the highest standards.</span></li>\n<li><span>Participate in technical and creative calls with directors and clients.</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate effectively with internal departments to assign tasks under tight deadlines and fast turnaround times. </span></li>\n<li><span>Provide </span><span>clear and constructive feedback when reviewing shots, maintaining quality and consistency in large sequences being worked on by multiple artists.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure quality control and compositing teams’ delivery of high quality work.</span></li>\n<li><span>troubleshoot technical problems on assigned shots.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strive for excellence in terms of aesthetic and technical work.</span></li>\n<li><span>Take direction from Compositing Supervisors, Leads and VFX Producers to execute clients' vision to the highest standards. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>7+ years working in a VFX studio environment</span></li>\n<li><span>Expert level knowledge in the following software: Nuke/NukeX, Mocha Pro, Photoshop. After Effects, CG and additional software packages are a plus.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong artistic aptitude for shot composition, design, element creation, and/or look development for sequences, as well as the ability to create templates for other artists to use.</span></li>\n<li><span>Extreme creativity in finding solutions to client notes and production challenges.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong ability to stay calm and positive in high pressure environments.</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience with Flow (formerly Shotgrid/Shotgun) management software a plus.</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated leadership skills in a VFX production environment </span></li>\n<li><span>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adaptability, problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>A thorough understanding of both feature film and television VFX production pipelines</span></li>\n<li><span>An ability to interpret supervisor and client notes and translate them for Leads and artists under your direction </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About This Role</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span><span>Benefit plans are dependent on the local plan offering and employment status but all US and Canada plans include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings, and paid time off.Barnstorm VFX is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive team that provides a meaningful work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
