With competitive pay and benefits, safe and stable work, and an environment that is caring and supportive, Iowa Premium could become your next career move! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hourly wage for this position starts at $25.50 per hour up to $35.50 per hour depending on experience.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Relocation Package and Qualification Bonus available</strong></li>\n <li><strong>$2.00 per hour prefect attendance bonus</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Family-friendly benefits including health, vision and dental</strong></li>\n <li><strong>401K Retirement Plan with company match</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Paid Vacation after 1 year of service</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Paid Holiday, personal days, birthday</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Employee Meat Purchase Sales</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Paid Life Insurance</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>For more information on Iowa Premium, click here!</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Maintenance Technician position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines</li>\n <li>Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts</li>\n <li>Performing preventative maintenance</li>\n <li>Installing equipment/machinery/parts</li>\n <li>Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems</li>\n <li>Creating daily activity reports</li>\n <li>Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility</li>\n <li>Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms. Checks product for visual defects.</li>\n <li>Instructs and directs any maintenance trainees assigned</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Technician position should possess the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions</li>\n <li>Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills</li>\n <li>Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write and speak English preferred</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic and eye for detail</li>\n <li>Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>The following experience is preferred but not required</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ammonia/Refrigeration systems</li>\n <li>Electrical</li>\n <li>Food processing</li>\n <li>General knowledge of plant layout and production floor equipment and processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical requirements for this position are as follows:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Climbing occasionally</li>\n <li>Stooping occasionally</li>\n <li>Crouching occasionally</li>\n <li>Standing for 8 or more hours per day</li>\n <li>Talking</li>\n <li>Hearing</li>\n <li>Walking frequently</li>\n <li>Pushing frequently</li>\n <li>Pulling frequently</li>\n <li>Grasping frequently</li>\n <li>Repetitive motions frequently</li>\n <li>Lifting: 0 – 100#</li>\n <li>Environment: Hot and Cold</li>\n <li>Environment: Some exposure to the elements</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Must be at least 18 years of age or older.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.</p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company, is dedicated to being the premier supplier of premium family farm-raised corn-fed Black Angus beef.
