We will continue to insert intelligent automation into our manufacturing facilities, which will continue to drive the future of flight well into the next century.</p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>Conducts visual and dimensional inspections of products, materials, and tooling across all work centers to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. This role documents non-conformities, supports production personnel, verifies final inspection kits, and assists in internal audits. Additionally, the inspector may train or guide others in inspection procedures and tools.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform visual and dimensional inspections of Sekisui Aerospace and supplier-produced products, materials, and tooling in all work centers.&nbsp;</li><li>Document non-conformities on company rejection tags and inspection pick-up forms.</li><li>Provide information and assistance to production and supervisory personnel.</li><li>Verify kits in final inspection before shipping. &nbsp;</li><li>Document compliance with customer purchase order requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide training and/or assistance to other inspectors in the use of procedures or tools.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare and execute Internal Audits. &nbsp;Provide internal audit report.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Advanced blueprint reading skills.</li><li>Able to use hand inspection tools. (Calipers, 6&rdquo; scales, height gage, etc.)</li><li>Advanced math aptitude.</li><li>Able to support inspection functions in multiple work centers.</li><li>Knowledge of industry record keeping procedures and best practices.</li><li>Familiar with digital, electronic inspection media.</li><li>Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse workforce.</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root cause, and suggest corrective and continuous improvement actions.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>One (1) to three (3) years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment strongly preferred.</li><li>Lean Manufacturing experience.</li><li>Knowledgeable in autoclaves and/or ovens.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. &nbsp;PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.</p><ul><li>Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.</li><li>Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.</li><li>Exposure to hazardous equipment.</li><li>Exposure to contaminants.</li><li>Shared workspaces with other employees.</li><li>Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending. &nbsp;</li><li>Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).</li></ul><p><strong>Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)</strong></p><p>Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee&rsquo;s position and exposure. &nbsp;Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. &nbsp; Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.</p><ul><li>Ear Plugs - Earmuffs</li><li>Full Face Shield</li><li>Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)</li><li>Protective Apron</li><li>Respirator</li><li>Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles</li></ul><p><strong>Other Duties:</strong></p><p>This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
