They will be able to do<br>things such as: Replace motor drives (one for one), connect to PLC and<br>troubleshoot ladder logic, full schematic reading capability, cross reference sensors,<br>control panel wiring, proficient with a multi-meter and deep dive troubleshooting,<br>and parameter adjustments. This employee will be required to work overtime as required.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities/Principal Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take an active role in trainings and developing their skills in controls<br>and automation as required.</li>\n<li>Participate in software and schematic updates to insure updated<br>documentation of Cornell equipment.</li>\n<li>Help support the shift they are assigned to as well as others that<br>has the breakdown where the current staff can’t resolve a downed piece of equipment.</li>\n<li>Be assigned work in the Preventive Maintenance areas, Projects, and<br>machine breakdowns as required.</li>\n<li>Work in a safe guarded manor for their safety and the safety of all<br>others. They will follow all LOTO rules of Clopay.</li>\n<li>Responsible to test all repaired control devices before putting in<br>storage. They will need tagged to identify dates of repair and condition of device.</li>\n<li>Complete work assignments in the Maintenance “work order/<br>PM” system.</li>\n<li>Conduct themselves in a manner that supports a “Ship, Shipmate, Self”<br>concept where team work is key to our success.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to troubleshoot programs and modify/ edit existing programs for<br>PLC’s, HMI’s, or CNC controllers.</li>\n<li>Capable of wiring and building control panels for newly developed<br>machines built in house.</li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools such as calipers,<br>micrometers, tape measure, etc.</li>\n<li>Proficient in using digital volt meters, amp meters</li>\n<li>Adept at reading and understanding CAD and product drawings.</li>\n<li>Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine<br>information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.</li>\n<li>Work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.</li>\n<li>Proficient with PCs and micro soft word.</li>\n<li>Close, distance, and peripheral vision.</li>\n<li>Depth perception.</li>\n<li>Ability to discern colors and adjust focus. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associates Degree in Controls and Automation;</li>\n<li>or High School/GED with 4 years experience in<br>Automation and Controls in a manufacturing environment</li>\n<li>Licenses/Certification: Crane and Fork trucks preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Choose a Career With Us?</span></p>\n<p>We don't just manufacture doors; we engineer the \"front door\" of the American dream and the security of global commerce.
