    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">The American Lung Association has an excellent opportunity for a <strong>Specialist, Health Promotions.&nbsp;</strong>Working as a member of the <strong>Health Promotions and Education</strong> department, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education, and advocacy.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This role will&nbsp;coordinate, implement, and evaluate lung health programs throughout the Missouri market and other assigned territories well as implement grants, outreach activities, and signature programs. This is a 100% grant-funded role.&nbsp;This position is based at the American Lung Association&rsquo;s St. Louis, MO office and is a hybrid role combining in-person and virtual work.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Location: St. Louis, Missouri.</strong> The position is located at the American Lung Association&rsquo;s St. Louis, Missouri&rsquo;s office and will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual work.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;margin-left: 43.95px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Implement deliverables and scopes of work for grants and local funding.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify and source funding opportunities that will support program and mission efforts in Missouri and other assigned territories.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attend and participate in community outreach events to help raise the profile of the Lung Association.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Serve on internal workgroups and committees as requested.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop and submit timely reports as required by the association and funding sources, including but not limited to weekly updates in the American Lung Association&rsquo;s (ALA) data base, monthly management reports, grant reports and program metrics reports.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Represent the association as a member of local and/or statewide health coalitions and organizations related to the ALA&rsquo;s mission.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Build, maintain and cultivate relationships with volunteers, coalitions, funders, facilitators, and community partners to encourage program delivery, sustainability, and program growth across Missouri and other assigned territories.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Seek opportunities to grow and expand the mission footprint.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Select and participate in local, state, and national learning opportunities designed to increase skills and knowledge related to job requirements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to author, review and submit funding applications and proposals to support mission work and mission imperatives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Other duties as&nbsp;assigned.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;margin-left: 43.95px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in public health or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum 2 years of experience developing and implementing community awareness, education, and programs specifically related to areas of public health, community engagement, or public policy.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prior experience in public health, community relations, public policy, and/or advocacy.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills both written and oral.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Required to travel periodically for meetings and conferences.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to work with minimum direct supervision, make decisions, and take initiative.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven ability to cultivate and steward relationships across a diverse population.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must have a valid Driver&rsquo;s license and your own reliable transportation with the ability to travel within assigned area for meetings and conferences, as well as the flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends with some overnights required&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Required to travel statewide to provide training and technical assistance and to attend meetings and conferences as required by assigned grants.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consistent with its mission, the American Lung Association maintains a smoke-free workplace; all employees must abstain from tobacco use in any form, including vaping.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Compensation:</strong> Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The target hiring range for this position is between $46,000 and $51,000 per annum.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Benefits</strong>: The Lung Association offers a comprehensive benefits package including:&nbsp;</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Paid Leave - 10 vacation days in the first year (15 days thereafter), 2 personal days and 15 sick days per year, as well as 12 company-paid holidays per year.
