Whether a planned project or an emergency response, Mersino meets challenges with expertise, equipment, and service. &nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>We move water.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Burgettstown, PA</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The primary responsibility of the Field Technician is to repair, maintain, and provide technical support to field operations and sales staff, including providing the technical knowledge required to keep company equipment in operating condition, troubleshoot and perform field repairs as required. In addition, the Field Technician will serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team&rsquo;s success.</p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Typical Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Schedule, service, repair and maintain the company&rsquo;s equipment</li><li>Perform repairs and maintenance on company equipment at job sites as required</li><li>Perform quality checks on repaired equipment</li><li>Maintain complete and accurate service records on all equipment serviced</li><li>Tune up wellpoint systems as required</li><li>Complete required documentation of all repairs and service as per company procedure</li><li>Maintain workspaces and promote shop safety by cleaning work areas and removing hazardous materials</li><li>Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards</li><li>Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities</li></ul><h1 style=\"margin-left:6.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Qualifications:</span></h1><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing large equipment preferred</li><li>Appropriate repair certifications desired</li><li>Ability to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card</li></ul><h1 style=\"margin-left:6.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Specific Expectations:</span></h1><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects</li><li>Ability to work long hours in extreme weather conditions</li><li>Excellent internal and external customer service skills</li><li>Ability to travel and answer emergency calls during non-business&nbsp;hours</li><li>Ability to work effectively with others</li><li>Ability to multi-task in a changing environment</li><li>Strongly self-motivated, ability to perform tasks with little or no direction</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job&nbsp;requirements</li><li>Strong time management and organizational skills</li><li>Required intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward</li></ul><p><strong>Career Path:</strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">This position is primarily responsible for the mechanical readiness and the operational performance of pumps in the shop and the field. This experience will prepare the employee for additional career paths that include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><strong>Foreman or Superintendent:</strong> Primary lead responsible for instructing crews and managing complete pump system setups. This is primarily for larger local projects that have multiple pumps and large piping.</li><li><strong>Regional Superintendent:</strong> Travel across the region to implement the larger and high-profile projects as needed and requested by the RVP.</li><li><strong>Lead Mechanic:</strong> Work primarily on pumps/generators in the field and/or the shop.</li><li><strong>Shop foreman:</strong> Hands on working and delegating work of Shop Mechanics and Field Mechanics.</li><li><strong>Service Writer:</strong> Computer focused data entry for Repair Orders and Inventory Control</li><li><strong>Service Manager:</strong> Manage all operations of the Service division for the branch.</li><li><strong>Project Manager:</strong> Manage the setup, operation and financial performance of projects from implementation to completion.</li></ul><p><strong>Disclaimer</strong></p><p><strong>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
