Fully benefited. &nbsp;&nbsp;Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions. &nbsp;</strong></u></em></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Purpose: The participant advisor is a key staff member who physically resides at the assigned non-congregate shelter and maintains an overnight presence to support program participants. The incumbent serves as a mentor and provides assistance to staff and program participants, as needed, to ensure a safe and stable environment.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:</p><p>· Reside in the non-congregate shelter facility and:</p><p>o Be physically present daily from 10pm-6am</p><p>o Refrain from use of all drugs and alcohol, and pass all random drug screenings&nbsp;</p><p>o Abide by all house rules</p><p>o Attend and assist with the monthly house meal at the location supervised</p><p>o Serve as a mentor, welcoming new participants and establishing and maintaining appropriate relationships with all program participants&nbsp;</p><p>· Ensure program participants remain in compliance with all house/program rules.&nbsp;</p><p>· Complete and record shelter curfew checks at 10:00 pm.&nbsp;</p><p>· Arm doors nightly and allow entrance for those with curfew exceptions after 10pm.</p><p>· Complete breathalyzer tests for all program participants nightly, at time of curfew.</p><p>· As directed by program management, complete drug screens for participants and report back results.</p><p>· Notify program managers of failed breathalyzer or drug screen, curfew non-compliance, or participant rule-breach immediately and follow directives given on case-by-case basis.</p><p>· In case of an emergency, notify the appropriate authorities and department staff.&nbsp;</p><p>· Follow appropriate procedures, including calling facilities, security, or supervisor on call as indicated</p><p>· Complete incident reports and send to appropriate team members</p><p>· Serve as a key point-of-contact between program participants and other program staff, including contact pertaining to house-meal and group attendance, shared supplies for the house, messages to participants, and delivery of paperwork for staff to/from houses.</p><p>· Collaborate with program staff regarding chore assignments and inspections.</p><p>· Be responsive to incoming calls, texts, or emails from your supervisor. Check emails daily and respond the same day.&nbsp;</p><p>· Communicate all relevant information from shift to R&amp;R manager by end of each shift.&nbsp;</p><p>· Train a lead-participant within the program to cover duties in your absence</p><p>· Complete any and all assigned trainings to help you excel in your position.&nbsp;</p><p>· Preserve confidentiality of all participants, staff, and volunteers</p><p>· Maintain a commitment to personal recovery, participant empowerment, and the ability to support participants.&nbsp;</p><p>· Other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p>",
