About the Team:
The Content organization is responsible for identifying, creating or licensing and integrating best-in-class unstructured and structured content into the AlphaSense platform. The team reports to the Chief Content Officer and has strategy, product and content management, collection operations and support responsibilities for each Content vertical. We have been experiencing rapid growth across all content sets. We value and uphold transparency, trust, and accountability in our relationships within the Content teams and with external partners and internal stakeholders.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager for New Content Initiatives and Strategy to help us shape our approach to new content generation and integration. Candidates should have deep knowledge of capital markets and investment research combined with extensive experience of building and managing financial content and AI-powered investment analysis workflows.
Who You Are:
10+ years of work experience at a leading financial institution or investment research platform firm as a Product or Content Manager focused on the delivery of content, features, analytics, and models for front-office investment professionals
5+ years managing a large, globally distributed content generation operation
Expert knowledge of various market data and investment research databases, products, and tools (e.g. Fundamentals, Estimates, M&A Transactions data, Ownership data, Market data, Excel plug-in, XML feeds)
Demonstrated ability to lead a dedicated cross-functional development team of engineers, data experts, QA, scrum master
Thorough understanding of the logic and concepts of relational and JSON databases; demonstrated experience using them is strongly preferred
BSc/MSc in engineering, finance, economics, or related field
Deep passion for corporate finance, capital markets, and investment research, with AI expertise gained from a buy-side/sell-side firm or through deploying and managing products and data for investment professionals
Natural enthusiasm for working at the intersection of AI, data, technology, and finance and a proven track record of extensively leveraging NLP, machine learning, and generative AI
Self-starter who has built, launched, and managed a marquee product or run a large content generation operation for the investment community
Thrives in high-paced, high-growth environments with strong multi-tasking abilities
Excellent presenter with ability to influence executives and align cross-functional stakeholders
Empathic communicator who listens well and identifies problems in need of solutions
Front-office background (research analyst, investment banker) preferred
Experience at a market intelligence or financial research SaaS startup preferred
Agile/iterative development methodology experience preferred
Experience with distributed teams preferred
CFA certification preferred
What You’ll Do:
New Content Initiatives and Product Ownership
Identify the Need : Become a use case expert for all major AlphaSense user personas. Contribute to market research and competitive analysis to identify net new opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Identify new high impact AI-driven functionality and data sets and formulate the licensing target vendors or self-sourcing strategy to introduce new content into the AlphaSense platform and agentic workflows.
Showcase the Value : Leverage rapid prototyping apps and workflows to demonstrate value proposition and expected impact to users or internal operational capabilities while also projecting cost and complexity of implementing new concepts, content, and functionality.
Own the Content Lifecycle : Take full ownership of the implementation of strategic content initiatives beyond the concept stage:
Sourcing analysis and buy vs build assessments
Scope and cost of implementation and ongoing operation
Business case and funding request
Cross-functional leadership with engineering and operations in optimizing for the best mix of technology (speed, automation) and person power (flexibility)
Cross-domain dependencies management
Design and implementation of a robust operating KPI framework
Content and product launch support
Roadmap management
Usage data analysis
Content Generation Strategy and Other Team-wide Contributions
Thought Leadership: Advise product managers and content leads on best practices for content creation, curation, and management across various data sets and platform modules, including data provenance methodologies, metadata strategy and execution, and language model and AI workflow orchestration
Market Research and Assessment: Track industry trends and competing platforms, solutions, and content to deliver competitive intelligence and better evolve product and content vision. Keep abreast of a rapidly evolving competitive landscape and client expectations along with unprecedented LLM and AI workflow advances.
Enable Team Efficiency and Scale: Provide guidance, process knowledge, and tooling to foster broader team adoption of rapid prototyping and AI workflow experimentation. Collaborate with product managers and content leads to test implementation scenarios and produce specs without engineering dependencies.
For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.
