As a rapidly growing organization operating on the cutting edge of science, we offer exceptional career growth and professional development opportunities, supported by world-class facilities and a competitive benefits package.</p>\n<h2>Position</h2>\n<p>The Director, Accounting is a hands-on leadership position, providing oversight and guidance on financial and accounting matters, maintaining external financial relationships and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting team.  This role is also responsible for driving financial reporting processes and data-driven decision-making across the business. A key focus of this role is ERP optimization, advancing system automation/implementation of AI to modernize finance operations, enhance accuracy, and enable scalable, high-quality financial insights.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Financial Strategy and Leadership: Oversee the organization’s Accounting department, managing and mentoring direct team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and process improvement; develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s long-term goals.</li>\n <li>Business Partnering and Decision Support: Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate new projects or investments; support pricing strategies, cost management and margin optimization; present financial results and provide financial insight to guide operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.</li>\n <li>Automation and Efficiency: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of finance systems and automated workflows to drive operational efficiency, enhance data accuracy, reduce manual processes, and support scalable financial operations. </li>\n <li>Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee accounting, reporting and compliance to ensure accurate financial statements and adherence with regulatory requirements; implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets.</li>\n <li>Asset Management: Safeguard cash flow, capital, and risk exposure through effective treasury and risk management practices. </li>\n <li>External Relationship Management: Manage key external relationships, including shareholders, supply chain, audit, insurance and banking relationships.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Early Development</h2>\n<p>After 3 months you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Learn the NorthStar systems, people and where to go to get the answers you need to do your job</li>\n <li>Build trust within the team, leadership, and operations.</li>\n <li>Establish reliable, robust reporting on margins, cost and cash flow</li>\n <li>Begin building/developing finance team capabilities to support growth</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>After 6 months you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Establish reliable, robust reporting on margins, cost and cash flow</li>\n <li>Standardize core finance processes (month end close, budgeting/forecasting, etc)</li>\n <li>Implement robust cost accounting process to capture true product and CDMO economics</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Education/Experience Requirements</p>\n<p>Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, and a minimum of ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required. MBA and/or CPA preferred. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Please note the company cannot provide immigration-related sponsorship (including H-1B status, O-1 status, Optional Practical Training support, etc.) for this position.  Each successful applicant will be required to complete the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, demonstrating both identity and employment authorization, on or before the first day of employment. Conditions may include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to varying temperatures, both indoors (heated/air-conditioned spaces) and outdoors</li>\n <li>Noise levels range from quiet to loud, depending on the work area</li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities, including near vision, visual acuity, and color discrimination</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</strong> is required and may include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and full protective clothing</li>\n <li>Compliance with cleanroom gowning protocols (e.g., removal of all jewelry, including piercings)</li>\n <li>Prohibition of cosmetics, fragrances (perfume, aftershave), and nail products, including polish, artificial nails, or extensions</li>\n</ul>\n<p>As a <strong>radiopharmaceutical manufacturing site</strong>, radiation may be present in the laboratory and production areas.
