    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Material handlers select and retrieve raw material. Stack finished material on pallets and label packaging appropriately. Move finished goods pallets to the warehouse or specified location and apply pallet wrapping; completed as specified per job jacket or given instruction. (<strong>This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)</strong></p><p>&nbsp;<br><strong>Essential Position Functions:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Verify, request, pull, receive raw materials as specified per job jacket.</li><li>Prepare tape machine and labeling equipment as needed for each job.</li><li>Lift, stack and arrange finished goods onto pallets as specified.</li><li>Prepare finished pallet for wrapping (corner boards, pallet labels, top cap).</li><li>Verify correct label and apply label on cartons, boxes, pallets as required per job ticket.</li><li>Ensure the quality of the pallet stacking and label application per quality control procedures.</li><li>Clean and maintain trays, rollers, bottles needed to apply labels.</li><li>Fill out forms, tickets, tags to record / request goods.</li><li>Tag pallets as required per the job jacket and quality procedures.</li><li>Move finished pallets to the warehouse for wrapping.</li><li>Manually seal cartons as needed.</li><li>Operates manual and electric pallet jacks.</li><li>Report all unsafe conditions and hazards to management.</li><li>Follow all safe work practices and safety rules.</li><li>Operate manual and electric pallet jacks.&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Education and/or Experience:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or GED required. &nbsp;</li><li>Material Handling experience preferred.</li><li>1 - 2 years of direct envelope experience is preferred.</li><li>Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.</li><li>Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills required.</li><li>Ability to read and understand job jackets.</li><li>Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral communications skills.</li><li>Must be able to work alone, and with a team.</li><li>May be required to become certified in operation of forklift.</li><li>Must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check and physical exam.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><p>The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. &nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p>Physical Demands</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Regularly required to walk and stand continuously for long periods of time.</li><li>Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.</li><li>Reach with hands and arms.</li><li>Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Able to perform enhanced visual quality inspections needed to identify quality problems.</li><li>Ability to distinguish a full range of colors.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 35 lbs. regularly.</li><li>Ability to push/pull/leverage up to 75 lbs.</li><li>Ability to push/pull a pallet jack (manual and electric) with loads up to 1,500 lbs.</li></ul><p>Mental Demands</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Will interact regularly with managers and staff.</li><li>Must be able to work independently with little supervision.</li></ul><p>Work Environment</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Employee works primarily in a fast-paced manufacturing / warehouse environment.</li><li>Excessive noise environment.
