This rhythm gives you the tools, connection, and autonomy you need to make a real impact.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are looking to hire an accomplished Software Engineer to use cutting edge technologies and build processing systems and solutions to handle the high volume business transactions between Blackhawk and its partners.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver high performance software solutions using software architecture patterns and best practices and aspect-oriented programming</li>\n <li>Work hand-in-hand with architects to build the right solution the first time</li>\n <li>Work closely with product teams to ensure solutions achieve the business vision and are delivered to market on schedule</li>\n <li>Work closely with operations and support staff to ensure successful production delivery and hand-off post-release</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline</li>\n <li>2+ years of software development experience with core Java and J2EE</li>\n <li>Java expert and practical experience with JDK 1.6 or above</li>\n <li>Spring and Struts frameworks and writing multithreaded applications</li>\n <li>RESTful architecture and REST Web Services implementation</li>\n <li>Database design with DB2 or Oracle or RDS and with good exposure to SQL</li>\n <li>Strong OO Design and development skills</li>\n <li>Good knowledge on AWS services</li>\n <li>Creative problem solver and excellent communicator</li>\n <li>Finance or payment industry experience a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays throughout the year 2026, sick pay accrual according to state law, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees. </p>\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p>Blackhawk Network provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
