    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p>Location: This position is on-site at either our Bee Cave, Dallas, or Galleria office.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Senior Underwriter will be a contributing member of the Commercial Underwriting team and will be viewed as a subject matter expert in a variety of industries and loan structures. &nbsp;This individual should have a diverse underwriting background with knowledge in C &amp; I, CRE, OORE, NOORE, Private Wealth and Corporate Banking. &nbsp;The Senior Underwriter is responsible for managing the underwriting process while ensuring credit quality and adherence with Third Coast Bank&rsquo;s lending policy. The Underwriter will collaborate with all involved parties to ensure transactions are underwritten to meet the client&rsquo;s expectation. &nbsp;The Senior Underwriter will be a leader within the underwriting group and will play an active role in the development of best practices and in training more junior underwriters. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Works independently with little or no oversight. Prepares credit packages and loan offerings for all types of transactions at any level of complexity or in management of a portfolio as assigned. Serves as a subject matter expert for certain asset classes and may represent or lead department on special projects or assignments. &nbsp;</li><li>Support various lending departments including: Community Bank, C &amp; I, CRE and Private Bank</li><li>Performs independent credit analysis and risk assessment on larger more complex credit relationships in a timely and efficient manner.&nbsp;</li><li>As a subject matter expert, Senior Underwriter will provide recommendations on credit structuring and will interact with internal and external clients. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet customer deadlines while ensuring the credit integrity of the transaction.&nbsp;</li><li>Proactive about identifying/delivering process improvements and helping establish best practices for the team. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with the training and development of other more junior underwriters.&nbsp;</li><li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with the deal teams and client.&nbsp;</li><li>Attends in person client calls with the Line of Business to gain a better understanding on the lending relationship and proposed transactions.&nbsp;</li><li>This individual has recognized leadership capacity and will be viewed as a credit resource throughout the Bank. &nbsp;</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility:</strong></p><p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong></p><p>This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.</p><p><strong>Travel:</strong></p><p>No travel is expected for this position.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><p>This job operates in a professional office environment. This position uses office equipment such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets and printers.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>This position will be responsible for writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Mental Demands:</strong></p><p>The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Role requires a business degree preferably in Corporate Finance or Accounting and 7 + years of underwriting or commercial banking experience.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of financial statement analysis and demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate key risks. &nbsp;</li></ul></div></div>\n",
