For more information, visit https://www.libertycsllc.com/.</p>\n<p><strong>The Role: </strong></p>\n<p>The Safety Manager is responsible for the coordination and administration of Safety programs activities and projects to support business objectives. He/She will partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure they focus on the elements of key risk with respect to EHS. He/She must provide day-to-day guidance to local management and staff in the continued building of a strong culture of safety.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure environmental, health & safety standards are met by coordinating, promoting and conducting various programs within the Liberty EHS management system.</li>\n <li>Support a strong safety culture by reviewing activities and verifying company safety standards, policies and procedures are being complied with.</li>\n <li>Operate independently and provide honest and objective feedback immediately to management where non-compliance with standards, policies and procedures is observed.</li>\n <li>Work closely with site leadership to coordinate training and development programs for the employees.</li>\n <li>Grow organizational competencies by providing advice, training and counsel in areas of EHS.</li>\n <li>Advise local operations regarding compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA and local safety and health regulations.</li>\n <li>Perform administrative tasks related to project specific safety binder and document storage systems.</li>\n <li>Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate Trade Partner’s Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings.</li>\n <li>Review trade partner Site Specific Safety Programs and Job Hazard Analysis prior to subcontractor mobilization.</li>\n <li>Attend/lead Toolbox Talks conducted by trade partners to assure documentation and quality.</li>\n <li>Review documentation from subcontractors for the proper training of their employees as related to the scope of work.</li>\n <li>Conduct training for OSHA 10 or 30 Hour, HAZWOPER, and other Safety related topics.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by the Regional Director or Senior Safety Manager.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5–10 years self-perform commercial construction experience.</li>\n <li>Self-perform concrete experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor's/University Degree in Health & Safety, Construction Management or equivalent experience and certifications.</li>\n <li>Travel requirements: 0–5%.</li>\n <li>Licenses/Certifications: Driver’s License.</li>\n <li>Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, OSHA 30/40 hour.</li>\n <li>Bilingual (Spanish/English).</li>\n <li>Ability to work weekends as needed.</li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible schedules in order to coordinate with operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Conditions</h2>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; talk or hear; walk; sit. The employee is frequently required to reach with arms and/or hands; bend, kneel; stoop, crouch or crawl and climb; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time on the physical jobsite; in a construction trailer; and occasionally an office building.
