Description
We are looking to hire a highly motivated per diem MRI Technologist in Walnut Creek, California.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform MRI procedures on patients with a referral from a medical provider. Explain MRI procedure to patients Communicate with patient during MRI procedure Capacity to follow ordering providers’ orders in conjunction with the Radiologist protocols Sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the patients Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Knowledge of safe MRI practice as outlined from the ACR Submit images per ACR guidelines every four years for re-accreditation. Comply with safety regulations involving the use of MRI to protect yourself, patients and other staff members. Call in service for MRI equipment when needed Conduct QA on MRI Equipment and keep accurate and up to date logs Must have venipuncture license and the ability to inject contrast Communicate STAT result to Radiologist Follow-up on STAT results with referring provider Knowledge of budget guidelines for ordering supplies Attend staff meetings (may occur outside of office hours) Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Communicate with practice manager on any related issues from above Communicate with Radiologist on MRI best practice as needed Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
