The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.&nbsp;</li><li>A minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience with a state license required.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Basic math skills are required to calculate surface areas.&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to read and understand written instructions concerning work tasks.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to take appropriate corrective action when observing or becoming aware of problems.</li><li>Ability to determine the appropriate tools and/or equipment needed to perform a job. &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.</strong></li><li><strong>Must be able to read safety JHA&rsquo;s, maintenance of shop tools, methods and procedures present on drawings, and layout work.&nbsp;</strong></li><li>Valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license with minimal infractions and a valid TWIC, required.&nbsp;</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assists journeyman in installing temporary and permanent power, above ground and underground raceways, cable and wire terminations, instrumentation, electrical equipment, and medium and high voltage equipment.</li><li>Moves material and equipment to work locations and helps set up work site.</li><li>Follows all safety and accident prevention procedures and promotes a safe work culture for the work area by using hand and power tools, equipment, and PPE in the correct manner.</li><li>Inspecting the site for unsafe conditions and practices</li><li>Ensures the electrician&rsquo;s work complies with customer specifications.</li><li>Communicates with journeyman, foreman, general foreman, superintendent, and project manager regarding construction activities.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.</li><li>Other duties as necessary</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong><u>Physical Demands</u></strong></p><p>Must be able to climb, bend, sit, walk, kneel, crawl, stand, push, and pull frequently. &nbsp;Must maintain 3-point contact while climbing ladders. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift, up to, 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to wear the following safety equipment when needed; life vests, ear protection, rubber gloves, leather gloves, hard hat, slicker suit, acid suit, rubber gloves, full face breathing mask, wearing full safety harness, or wearing a face shield. The heavy work will require exertion of up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong><u>Work Environment&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Frequently exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, working in elevated positions or in confined spaces.
