    "description": "<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2>\n<p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Program Instructors Recruiter provides leadership, direction and planning to identify, reach out to and engage with College and universities of interest  that could provide volunteer program instructors.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The Program Instructors Recruiter is responsible for the Interviewing for  the interviewing of the prospective program instructors </li>\n <li>Uses a handshake to gather information about the candidates to be interviewed.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the Curriculum Team and the Community Engagement team for the proper setup of the program instructors</li>\n <li>Volunteer Program Director and other stakeholders to develop and refine the volunteer instructor training program. (This is for COLE300, COLE.PIO team</li>\n <li>Mandatory Meetings: Attend virtual  team meetings <strong>weekly</strong> : (Sundays 5pm)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap</li>\n <li>Familiarity with the US college ecosystem and Gen Z or dealing with teenagers.young adults</li>\n <li>Good interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Resourceful, can-do attitude</li>\n <li>Experience in a recruitment or volunteer engagement function</li>\n <li>Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)</li>\n</ul>",
