This role requires the ability to think strategically and to serve as a credible, respected advocate for new initiatives which support and enhance the organizational mission and values. Qualifications EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:• BA/BS Degree in business, marketing, dietetics, nutrition, or a related healthcare area of study. Registered Dietitian licensure a plus. • 3+ years of experience in medical sales, clinical nutrition, medical devices, related nursing or pharmaceuticals. • Previous RD clinical, management or industry experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:• Excellent written and oral communications skills required.• Excellent follow through skills and ability to overcome obstacles.• Strong work ethic and drive to deliver results.• Strong Self Starter with the ability to work independently without supervision as well as the ability share ideas, knowledge and work as part of a team.• Strong reasoning, analytical abilities, with a demonstrated history of sound judgement.• Ability to interact well within a diverse population and work effectively at all levels of the organization.• Ability to perform multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.• Previous experience with Customer Relationship databases• Experience with SalesForce.com a plus.• Maintain information security with regard to all company’s proprietary information. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements WORKING CONDITIONS: • This role conducts work in a variety or settings, including a home office environment, hospital or clinic setting, and other business or professional settings.• This is predominantly a field-based role requiring weekly travel by airplane, train and/or automotive vehicle to assigned States, clinics, and conferences and work weekends as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Position requires the ability to sit for a minimum of 6 hours per day. • Ability to stand, walk, bend over, and reach above head on a regular basis. • Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds (or more per luggage) and repetitive use of hands/arms for writing, filing, and computer work.• Ability to travel via car, public transportation, or within assigned region as well as domestically. Responsibilities • Meet sales expectations in the assigned clinics within company policy guidelines. • Develop strong relationships with targeted health care professionals responsible for 1-3 customer segments and products (e.g., Metabolic, Ketogenic and GI/ Allergy patients, new launches) in both hospital inpatient and clinic settings within the assigned territory.• Solidify Cambrooke as the trusted and valued partner of choice for patient care and the easiest company to partner with. • Through education and collaboration with health care professionals, encourage sampling of Cambrooke’s medical food formulas to the appropriate patients. • Collaborate with internal personnel, with timely follow-up on opportunities with health care providers and patients to convert from sample trial to loyal customer. • Set, monitor and optimize a business plan that includes, but is not limited to, regional and clinic strategies and field activities that build acceptance and usage of Cambrooke’s portfolio of medical food formulas.• Meet or exceed minimum expectations of 2-3 field travel days per week, typically 4-6 overnight stays per month and 10 patient events per year. • Cultivate and identify lead opportunities. Meet with families at weekday / weekend events and clinic to educate, drive awareness of and interest in, Cambrooke’s portfolio of medical food formulas. • Build and improve clinical competence of the disease states and conditions for which we have products. Demonstrate clinical confidence during presentations and display the ability to articulate the benefits of our products and programs for the health care practitioner, their patients and practice. • Work collaboratively with Cambrookecare to identify DME providers and follow-up with clinicians as needed to expedite process. - • Identify formulary needs (e.g., State program, WIC, Medicaid, hospital) and manage processes necessary for successful formulary inclusion. • Work collaboratively with other Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists. Utilize all selling resources and demonstrate cross-functional collaboration with other support departments and associates to optimize overall performance and ability to succeed. • Responsible for maintaining control over territory expenses within the approved budget. Assist the Director of Sales in developing the annual budget for the territory. Submit expense reports weekly. • Complete all required and requested administrative work in a timely and accurate manner.• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events. • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services. • Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees. - • Other duties as assigned.
