Description

> MassBay Community College seeks a qualified part-time Adjunct Faculty beginning in spring 2025 and for future semesters to teach courses in Healthcare Delivery Systems, Pharmacology, Soft Skills for Medical Professionals, Electronic Health Records, Health Career Exploration, Medical Assistant, Medical Office, and Phlebotomy courses. The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and promoting success among a diverse student population. The Health Studies adjunct faculty teaches courses and skill development didactically. Students who enroll in these courses are typically in programs such as Medical Coding, Medical Office Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy but individuals outside of these programs may take some of these courses. Some courses are delivered online, and some may be taught face-to-face or in the hybrid modality. The adjunct faculty must have a healthcare background and expertise suitable to teach the course content. The candidate must be an effective communicator, be able to assess students objectively and work as a team. The adjunct faculty has obtained appropriate certification where applicable and has earned appropriate education in a health-related profession. Opportunities exist for working with other clinical-based programs depending on the candidate’s additional clinical certifications.
