    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Production Helper role is primarily responsible for de-nesting parts cut by the laser and metal finishing, identifying and organizing the laser cut parts in a Just-in-time fabrication shop. This position also may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required.</p>\n<p>1st & 3rd shift available!</p>\n<p>6:00a - 2:00p Monday through Friday</p>\n<p>10:00p - 6:00a Sunday through Thursday</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist the Operator with setups and operations on Mazak and Mitsubishi CO2 Lasers.</li>\n <li>Use grinders and sanders to improve quality on parts</li>\n <li>De-nesting of laser cut parts and removing laser oxide from parts </li>\n <li>Cross Train across the Laser department.</li>\n <li>Properly receiving and storing of steel. </li>\n <li>Perform general housekeeping of department.</li>\n <li>Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.</li>\n <li>Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues. </li>\n <li>Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent required</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds, bend, twist and transport product and materials short distances</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats</li>\n <li>Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in a an environment with metal and sharp objects</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change</li>\n <li>Work in an efficient and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Experience</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints operating and maintenance instructions and procedures</li>\n <li>Strong metal grinding, forming and basic fabrication background</li>\n <li>Basic dimensional measuring competence and ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated competency in basic shop math</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Expectations</h2>\n<p><strong>Equipment Operated</strong>:  Forklift, measurement devices, wrenches, screwdrivers and various other hand tools.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Physical Activity:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Activity</strong></p>\n<p><strong>N/A</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Occasionally</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Frequently</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Regularly</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Average lbs.</strong></p>\n<p>Lift/Carry</p>    \n<p>25 lbs routinely, 55 lbs occasionally</p>\n<p>Push/Pull</p>    \n<p>25 lbs routinely, 55 lbs occasionally</p>\n<p>Reach Overhead</p>    \n<p><strong>Comments: </strong>Magnet assist for lifting.     </p>\n<p>Climb</p>    \n<p>Squat/Bend/Kneel</p>    \n<p>Sit</p>    \n<p>Stand</p>    \n<p>Walk/Move About</p>   \n<p> </p>\n<p>Occasional: 1-2 hrs./shift   Frequently   2-5 hrs./shift   Regularly 5-8 hrs./shif</p>\n<p>Full-time position working 8 hours per day.</p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<p>Regularly exposed to varying temperature conditions between 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, and fumes from production equipment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Metalcraft of Mayville is an Equal Opportunity Employer:</p>\n<p>Minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity</p>\n<p>PM17</p>",
