This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with portfolio companies, investment teams, and senior leadership to drive financial excellence and operational efficiency. Based in Lexington, KY, the VP will play a pivotal role in shaping financial processes, supporting key transactions, and fostering strong relationships across our organization.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Portfolio Company Management</strong></h3><ul><li>Oversee financial reporting compliance for 3–5 portfolio companies</li><li>Review monthly financials, management discussions, and cash flow forecasts</li><li>Support onboarding of new portfolio companies and CFOs</li><li>Identify and implement improvements in financial close and reporting processes</li></ul><h3><strong>Reporting and Analysis</strong></h3><ul><li>Provide financial insights and ad hoc analysis to senior leadership</li><li>Support internal and external reporting processes</li><li>Drive system and process improvements for reporting efficiency</li><li>Lead or contribute to financial planning and analysis projects</li></ul><h3><strong>Due Diligence and Pre-Transaction</strong></h3><ul><li>Participate in due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions</li><li>Assist CFOs in preparing for exits and transaction readiness</li><li>Understand and apply quality of earnings analyses</li><li>Collaborate with investment teams on financial readiness</li></ul><h3><strong>Executive Management</strong></h3><ul><li>Interview and support hiring of CFOs for portfolio companies</li><li>Build trusted relationships with portfolio company leadership</li><li>Coordinate executive onboarding and assessments</li><li>Execute strategic projects aligned with organizational goals</li></ul><h3><strong>Budget and Hoshin</strong></h3><ul><li>Establish and communicate budget timelines and expectations</li><li>Review annual budgets and provide feedback to deal teams</li><li>Support strategic planning and alignment of financial goals</li><li>Monitor compliance with budgeting and performance plans</li></ul><h3><strong>Board of Directors Activities</strong></h3><ul><li>Prepare financial materials for Board meetings.</li><li>Ensure alignment of performance data with board standards</li><li>Attend Board meetings and support related communications</li></ul><h3><strong>Business Development</strong></h3><ul><li>Maintain relationships with industry contacts and firms</li><li>Share potential deal opportunities with the Business Development team</li><li>Represent the firm at industry conferences and events</li></ul><h3><strong>Administrative Activities</strong></h3><ul><li>Support financial system implementations and reporting transitions</li><li>Present at internal conferences and assist with communications</li><li>Track time and expenses related to portfolio company activities</li><li>Coordinate travel and logistics with administrative support</li></ul><h3><strong>Execution &amp; Accountability</strong></h3><ul><li>Own financial reporting processes for assigned portfolio companies</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports and expenses</li><li>Communicate effectively with portfolio stakeholders</li><li>Drive initiatives that support organizational goal</li></ul>",
