Our evidence-based approach demonstrates that safe, reliable access unlocks opportunity and drives economic and social development in rural areas.</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">To expand our impact and strengthen our technical capacity, Fika is establishing a Consultant Roster of qualified professionals across multiple disciplines related to rural access planning, transport infrastructure design and construction, and related sub-sectors. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee an assignment but ensures that pre-qualified consultants may be rapidly engaged when relevant opportunities arise.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(79, 129, 189); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Objective of the Roster</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The Fika Consultant Roster serves as a database of pre-screened experts who may be considered for consultancy assignments supporting Fika’s rural transport access projects and programs globally. Consultants may be engaged on short-term or intermittent contracts depending on project needs, subject to funding availability, client approvals, and consultant qualifications.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Areas of expertise that Fika is seeking for our Consultant Roster include, but are not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Rural access and mobility planning</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bridge and rural transport infrastructure design</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Construction supervision and quality assurance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hydrology, geotechnical, and structural engineering</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Environmental and social impact assessments for transport sector programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Sustainability, environmental, and social safeguards for transport sector programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Capacity strengthening and adult-centered training design and facilitation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Community engagement and participatory planning</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">We welcome individuals from all geographies to submit their interest for our Consultant Roster.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(79, 129, 189); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">General Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Providing expert technical input to feasibility studies, design reviews, or infrastructure assessments or assignments</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Supporting project planning, implementation, and monitoring activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Advising on standards, methodologies, and innovations in rural infrastructure delivery</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conducting field assessments, stakeholder consultations, and capacity development or training workshops</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Preparing technical reports, manuals, or policy guidance documents</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensuring that gender equality, environmental and sustainability concerns, safeguarding, and other cross-cutting considerations are integrated into all activities</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(79, 129, 189); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Advanced degree in civil engineering, transport planning, rural development, or related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in rural transport infrastructure or related sectors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrated experience working in rural or remote areas and engaging with local community, government, and private sector stakeholders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills in English; proficiency in other languages is an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Commitment to Fika’s mission, values, and ethical standards, including safety, integrity, and inclusion</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work independently, remotely, collaboratively, and across cultures</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(79, 129, 189); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Roster Membership and Selection Process</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Interested candidates are invited to submit an application indicating their area(s) of expertise and relevant experience. Once accepted into the roster, members will be considered for consultancy opportunities that match their profiles.
