With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p>\n<p>The Press Operator will ensure a quality product using statistical process control methods and troubleshooting techniques is achieved. Provides leadership on a printing press to ensure maximum machine and raw material efficiencies are achieved while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position is responsible for the direction and leadership of a printing press, and the crew assigned to it.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<p>· Complete safety orientation and forklift certification training.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate an understanding of our product, customer specifications, and visual inspection requirements.</p>\n<p>· Collect and document specific data.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate basic math skills, both metric and standard.</p>\n<p>· Ability to use color measuring instruments for monitoring color (Techkon).</p>\n<p>· Measure and monitor ink viscosities and its effect on color.</p>\n<p>· Basic color theory and color control in multi-color printing.</p>\n<p>· Apply measurement and data to identify root causes and solve problems.</p>\n<p>· Use applicable statistical tools when and where necessary.</p>\n<p>· Effectively communicate and interact professionally with all people in the work environment.</p>\n<p>· Understand the importance of respect and maintain the confidentiality of the company and customer.</p>\n<p>· Utilize teamwork to fulfill job requirements and process improvements.</p>\n<p>· Must have general computer skills (i.e., JDE, Quality Windows, etc.)</p>\n<p>· Effectively train new team members.</p>\n<p>· Understand the components and functions of the basic flexographic printing press, including but not limited to the Unwind, Infeed, Drying, Outfeed, Rewind, Register, Impression setting, Port-a-lift and Inking systems.</p>\n<p>· Adhere to changeover procedures for flexographic printing.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret Job Travelers and how to identify raw materials by part numbers.</p>\n<p>· Recognize, identify, and communicate problems in specific terms (troubleshooting).</p>\n<p>· Effectively transfer information between shifts.</p>\n<p>· Understand and interpret MSDS sheets.</p>\n<p>· Understand SOC sheets and how to properly fill out.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate good 5S, housekeeping, and organizational skills.</p>\n<p>· Ensure proper solvent and ink handling procedures are implemented and followed by everyone.</p>\n<p>· Ensure proper hazardous waste handling procedures are implemented and followed by everyone.</p>\n<p>· Must have the flexibility to adjust breaks and lunch times based on production needs.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education: Minimum [Highschool Diploma/GED]</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Experience</strong><em>: Three to five years of manufacturing experience required. Three to five years of flexographic printing press experience preferred.</em></li>\n <li><strong>Physical/Cognitive Requirements</strong><em>: </em>Work is performed in a plant environment with frequent contact with others. Requires prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity, the ability to distinguish letters, occasional lifting, and the use of equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of skills in the use of office machines (computers and copiers) and business procedures.
