    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>Bowser-Morner has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer intern position at our Toledo, Ohio office. &nbsp;The successful candidate will have a passion for working on a wide variety of projects including geotechnical engineering, slope stability analyses, field investigations and construction observation. &nbsp;Candidates must also be client-focused, motivated, and confident.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with Geotechnical engineering projects including field observations, documentation and recommendations. &nbsp;</li><li>Various engineering programs including slope stability, hydrology, and sheet pile design application. &nbsp;</li><li>Conduct, coordinate or supervise field investigations, laboratory testing and evaluation of respective data.&nbsp;</li><li>Works closely with Senior Engineers to gain project management and engineering experience. &nbsp;</li><li>Prepares work Scope, proposals and reports and plans investigations for approval by Senior Engineers. &nbsp;</li><li>Interacts with client and project team in developing scope of services and communicating project status. &nbsp;</li><li>Analyze data and perform engineering calculations for Senior Engineer review.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain quality standards on all projects. &nbsp;</li><li>Assist in developing scope of work for routine projects. &nbsp;</li><li>AutoCAD support for various engineering and environmental projects. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><p>&middot; Working towards B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in the geotechnical engineering field, or related field from accredited college or university.</p><ul><li>EIT is desire, if not obtained , at least on track to obtain</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p><p>&middot; Excellent communication skills</p><p>&middot; Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and other software typically associated with engineering preferred.</p><p>&middot; Strong math skills</p><p>&middot;&nbsp;Clean driving record</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reporting Relationships</strong></p><p>&middot; Manager Toledo Engineering</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p><u>Physical Ability</u></p><p>&middot; Stand, walk, push, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds</p><p><u>Visual Ability</u></p><p>&middot; Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job</p><p><u>Hearing Ability</u></p><p>&middot; Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function</p><p><u>Work Conditions</u></p><p>&middot; Office and construction site settings&nbsp;</p><p>&middot; Work exposes the employee to traffic hazards and the hazards of construction sites including dangers of moving heavy equipment, inclement weather conditions, and high noise levels. &nbsp;</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Significant Field work required and is typically within driving distance from office (e.g. throughout Northwest Ohio)</p></div></div></div>\n",
