    "description": "<p>Goosmann Law is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel – Litigation Attorney to join the Firm and provide strategic, high-quality legal representation. This senior-level role represents clients in court and in adversarial proceedings, including arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings. The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigator who can independently manage complex matters, serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and individuals, and confidently advocate before judges and juries.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Primary Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Independently manage complex civil and commercial litigation matters.</li>\n<li>Represent clients in court, mediations, arbitrations, and other adversarial proceedings.</li>\n<li>Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client goals.</li>\n<li>Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other court filings.</li>\n<li>Lead discovery, including depositions of fact and expert witnesses.</li>\n<li>Participate in and lead mediations and settlement negotiations.</li>\n<li>Manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.</li>\n<li>Contribute to business development and thought leadership efforts.</li>\n<li>Mentor and supervise attorneys, paralegals, and staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Required Skills/Abilities</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced written and verbal advocacy skills.</li>\n<li>Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.</li>\n<li>Significant deposition and jury trial experience.</li>\n<li>Client-focused with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.</li>\n<li>Highly organized and detail-oriented.</li>\n<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Required Education and Experience</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.</li>\n<li>Active Bar membership in Nebraska; Iowa licensure strongly preferred.</li>\n<li>7+ years of litigation experience, including motion practice, complex discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial work.</li>\n<li>Experience in medical malpractice, employment law, commercial litigation, or civil litigation.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and mentor team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
