The Residential Services team provides 24/7 support across program sites, ensuring clients experience dignity, safety, and access to services that promote healing, stability, and self-sufficiency.
The Role
As a Residential Service Coordinator I, you will serve as a frontline support professional, welcoming individuals experiencing homelessness and guiding them through program intake, orientation, and ongoing support. You will help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive living environment while contributing to daily operations.
This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and motivated to support vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome clients and conduct intake and orientation activities. Provide client-centered support and connect residents to internal and community-based resources such as healthcare, housing, employment, and social services. Maintain accurate client records in program databases in compliance with organizational and grant requirements. Conduct routine inspections of residential areas to promote cleanliness, safety, and shared community responsibility. Collaborate with program staff to identify concerns or barriers affecting client stability and support solution-focused interventions. Foster a welcoming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive residential environment. Monitor residential spaces and respond appropriately to client needs or program concerns. Complete required trainings and maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned to support residential program operations. Desirable Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Preferred: at least six (6) months of experience in social services, residential programs, customer service, or community support, ideally including work with diverse or vulnerable populations, demonstrating reliability and professional client interaction. Key Competencies and Experience
Understanding of client engagement practices grounded in compassion, respect, and trauma-informed care. Basic documentation and data entry skills aligned with program or grant compliance standards. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office or similar data systems. Familiarity with community resources or willingness to learn service navigation processes. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced residential environment. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to observe, assess situations, and respond appropriately to maintain a safe environment. Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive client information. Dependability, accountability, and strong teamwork orientation. Work Schedule
This full-time role supports a 24/7 residential environment. The selected candidate will be assigned to the Day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) or Grave (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) shift and will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Employees are expected to consistently work these non-traditional hours and collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure seamless residential operations.
