    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Employer:</strong> Robertshaw Controls Company</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Title:&nbsp;</strong>Senior Product Development Engineer</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>1222 Hamilton Parkway, Itasca, IL, 60143</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Job Duties</strong>: Design, develop, and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life; serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product moves to production and distribution; involved with each product lasts throughout all stages of a product&rsquo;s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product of product line. Additional responsibilities include:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Create models from concepts based on customer&rsquo;s specifications and fulfills company&rsquo;s goals and scope of work.</li><li>Problem solve using creative solutions to existing OEM appliance products.</li><li>Crafts detailed mechanical designs and personally develops and/or oversees the development of prototype models by third-party vendors.</li><li>Works closely with project team members involved in other engineering disciplines (e.g., Software/Firmware Engineering, Electronic Design Engineering) to ensure compatibility of design.</li><li>Assists with design verification; reviews design with internal team and/or customers and ensures customer and internal requirements have been met.</li><li>Recommends design modifications to existing products to enhance performance, add desired functionality/features, reduce cost, etc.</li><li>Oversee and is responsible for ensuring product validation; may write test requirements and conduct testing, as necessary.</li><li>Work with third-party suppliers to gather production tooling cost estimates; qualifies that final production tooling meet requirements.</li><li>Work with internal Agency Engineers or external certifying body representatives to ensure product design is in compliance with necessary safety requirements.</li><li>Investigate product failures and make recommendations to address issues.</li><li>Confer with manufacturing personnel during design to ensure the design can be easily manufactured and assembled and works with manufacturing personnel to address part shortages, material replacements, design variations, etc.</li><li>Develop and adheres to time schedules that are in line with the master project plan; identifies risk factors (e.g., product design, timeline, cost) and makes project team members (e.g., other Engineers, Project Manager, Product Manager) aware of possible challenges and potential solutions.</li><li>Develop and apply best practices in mechanical design engineering techniques, processes, and policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:&nbsp;</strong>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or its foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and (3) three<strong>&nbsp;</strong>years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in a related field.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Specific Skills or Other Requirements:</strong> Additionally, the applicant must have experience with the following:&nbsp;</p><ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>CAD Software,</li><li>Product Design,&nbsp;</li><li>FEA Analysis,&nbsp;</li><li>CFD Analysis, and&nbsp;</li><li>Statistical Analysis.</li></ol><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Rate of Pay:&nbsp;</strong>$90,106.00/year</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong>Our current benefits include comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans, 401(k) Match, PTO &amp; Paid Holiday Schedule, Legal and Life Insurance, and Tuition Assistance.
