This position will perform computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) for a variety of environmental, civil and geotechnical engineering design projects, with opportunities to participate from conceptual design through construction. We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details using appropriate and efficient methods and adhering to Geosyntec drafting standards.</li>\n <li>Understand and visualize overall civil/geotechnical engineering concepts, such as grading / site layouts, and translating abstract concepts to design drawings.</li>\n <li>Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete a drawing set.</li>\n <li>Manage the production of drawing sets / design data from creation, markup and modification based on overall design.</li>\n <li>Assign work to, mentor, train, and supervise CAD technicians in the preparation of design drawings and details and reviewing completed work products to ensure quality.</li>\n <li>Participate in the CAD Action Group, by supporting, networking, and collaborating to improve CAD standards and efficiencies across the company.</li>\n <li>Work collaboratively with other Geosyntec CAD practitioners to prepare design drawings and details and review completed work products to ensure quality.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree in Drafting and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in a professional civil engineering setting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience developing and working with grading plans, cross-sections, alignments, profiles, three-dimensional surfaces, gravity network design, and earthwork volumes for landfills and other large civil design projects. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience using/incorporating land or aerial surveying/mapping data and files. (required)</li>\n <li>Understanding of Microsoft Windows applications, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Windows File Explorer. (required)</li>\n <li>Proficiency in the latest releases of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map3D. Proficiency includes a strong understanding of Civil 3D annotation styles and annotation tools, object and label styles, solid understanding of key objects such as surfaces, alignments, profiles, profile views, pipe networks, feature Lines, grading groups, assemblies, and corridors, surface analyses and volume calculations. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to read, analyze and interpret red line drawings from Engineers, CAD Managers, or others on the project team. (required)</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills include the ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions, and the ability to interact effectively to maintain a team environment. (required)</li>\n <li>Strong reasoning, mathematical, and geometrical skills. (required)</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of ESRI ArcMap or equivalent GIS software with the above-mentioned software. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Successful Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D Certified Professional examination within the last 3 years. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience with Revit interoperability with Civil 3D. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience with stormwater management design. (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
