Performs preventive maintenance work that could involve the use and operation of complex and highly technical equipment and techniques. Exhibit sound decision making skills and be an example in productivity and professionalism. &nbsp;Do not engage in, nor allow others on the staff to work in a hazardous manner or under hazardous conditions.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Set an example in fulfilling Carillon Standards for service to guests, patrons and owners.</li><li>Comply with all departmental rules, regulations, standards, dress code and appearance. Behave in a professional manner and demonstrate a friendly and caring attitude toward co-workers. Show prompt responsiveness when asked to do any task consistent with Carillon standards.</li><li>Personally comply and teach compliance to co-workers regarding Federal, State, Local, Hotel and Departmental Safety Regulations and Procedures.</li><li>Adhere to Carillon Facility Lock and Key policies and procedures.</li><li>Promote guest, patron, owner and employee safety and security through strict adherence to Facility Security and Safety policies and procedures. &nbsp;Eliminate hazards and/or safety violations. &nbsp;Know and be able to teach the proper shut-down and start-up procedures for all utilities. Thorough knowledge of the fire suppression systems and the fire/emergency alarm systems.</li><li>The HVAC Technician must become knowledgeable about all major and emergency equipment locations and their functions including Life and Property systems (fire detection, fire suppression, emergency generator, departmental fire drill/response procedures, emergency HVAC operation, gas and water shut off valves, main electrical disconnects, etc.).</li><li>Complete preventive maintenance work, including the monitoring, control and performance of scheduled P.M. on all systems. &nbsp;This activity includes work discovered by the lead engineer. Train other engineers in the proper performance of P.M. tasks.</li><li>Responsible for PPE (personal protection equipment) use and daily maintenance.</li><li>Assures the maintenance of a working parts inventory of all parts needed for the department. &nbsp;Knowledge of vendor and pricing policies &amp; procedures. &nbsp;Maintain and control the tool inventory to include proper securing, storage and training in the proper use and function.</li><li>Leads crewmembers in the repairs and maintenance of the Facility and the conditions, equipment and devises therein. HVAC Technician set an example in productivity and professionalism.</li><li>Support the HotSOS work order system in implementation and adherence, including the prioritization of assigned work. &nbsp; Originate work orders to remedy problems and/or faulty conditions and assure the quality and timeliness of the remedial work. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains open and professional communication between management and staff. &nbsp;Follow procedures in the use and maintenance of all communication equipment and devices. Review all employee and department bulletin boards and strictly adhere to Carillon policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and communication of information.</li><li>Read, write and communicate instructional and other technical terms, details and concepts in the English language, that are consistent with the job requirements of a HVAC Technician.</li><li>Support the facility&rsquo;s Hazard Communication Program. This includes a thorough knowledge of MSDS, product labeling, storing and handling of materials etc.</li><li>Assists in planning, execution and the quality of the work assigned to the Engineering Maintenance team.</li><li>All activities, work, actions and time are documented, in writing, on a daily basis.</li><li>Assists in the motivation of employees toward the attainment of reasonable work goals.</li><li>Provides feedback regarding the quality and productivity of department workers.</li><li>Through individual effort and teamwork, employees will ensure that all guest, patron and owner contact is handled in a friendly and professional manner. &nbsp;We will be sensitive and responsive to their reasonable needs and requests while exhibiting gracious hospitality and personal care.</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as directed.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Education, Experience and Skill Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 4 years experience in a hotel/resort or directly related industrial or facility maintenance.</li><li>Proven leadership skills.</li><li>Be an Expert and have &ldquo;Journeyman&rdquo; certifications in two or more Facility Engineering disciplines and proficiency in all other aspects of engineering maintenance, as directed by management.&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess good communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with a variety of people.</li><li>The ability and experience to safely use power equipment and hand tools necessary to accomplish repairs and maintenance work.</li><li>Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions and to lift, carry, push, and/or pull a variety of tools, equipment and materials.</li><li>Physically capable of performing rigorous tasks including working from ladders, working beneath equipment, and in various conditions and settings are required for the normal performance of assigned tasks.</li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.</li><li>The HVAC Technician must have current certifications and/or credentials to perform their specialty skills and disciplines.
