Description

Position Overview The Painter is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces by performing painting, finishing, and coating tasks. The role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including patching holes, sanding, and priming. Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes. Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to identify and correct flaws or damage. Perform touch-up painting and minor repairs to maintain a fresh appearance. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to painting and hazardous materials. Coordinate with other departments to schedule painting activities and minimize disruption to guests. Report to supervisors on job progress, completion times, and material usage. Maintain an inventory of paints, supplies, and equipment. Request orders for materials as needed to ensure sufficient stock. Required Education, Experience and Skills At least 1 years of related experience required. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently (and in a team). Proficient in various painting techniques and tools Strong attention to detail and quality control Work Conditions & Physical Demands Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment. Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects. Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
