    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>Dewberry is seeking a <strong>Geotechnical Discipline Lead – Levees, Dams, Coastal Structures </strong>with 15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience focused on the planning, design, and construction of flood risk management systems across coastal and riverine environments. <strong>This position may work from any of our offices and offers the opportunity for hybrid or remote work.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In this nationally influential role, you’ll serve as Dewberry’s <strong>geotechnical lead for large-scale flood resilience and water infrastructure projects</strong>—including levees, floodwalls, dams, coastal structures, and more. Both vary based on level within the program and bonuses are dependent upon company performance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition, a host of discounted purchase programs are available to all employees.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead engineering analyses and develop preliminary and detailed designs for flood risk management system components (levees, floodwalls, weirs, channels, seawalls, etc.).</li>\n <li>Serve as the <strong>Geotechnical Engineer of Record</strong> on major flood resilience and water resource projects.</li>\n <li>Grow, mentor, and support a team of geotechnical professionals delivering multidisciplinary projects across the US.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain strong client relationships within municipal, state, and federal markets.</li>\n <li>Direct large, complex, multi‑disciplinary design efforts from strategy through execution.</li>\n <li>Lead capture planning and proposal development for major pursuits.</li>\n <li>Manage or provide technical leadership on resilience, water resources, and hazard mitigation projects.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with clients to set goals, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>BS</strong><strong> in Civil Engineering</strong> (geotechnical emphasis required); MS or PhD preferred.</li>\n <li><strong>15+ years</strong> of experience in flood resilience, flood control, or water resources engineering.</li>\n <li><strong>Professional Engineer (PE)</strong> license with the ability to obtain reciprocity in multiple states.</li>\n <li>Proven experience leading business development and delivering major flood resilience projects, including work with the <strong>U.S. Army Corps of Engineers</strong>.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience as the Geotechnical <strong>Engineer of Record</strong> on large, complex projects.</li>\n <li>Strong familiarity with <strong>USACE, FEMA</strong>, and other relevant standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Experience or familiarity with coastal, riverine, or offshore marine engineering is a plus.</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication and technical writing skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with CAD programs (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).</li>\n <li>Expertise with geotechnical analysis tools such as <strong>GeoStudio, CWALSHT, CTShoring, Ensoft suite, HELIX, DeepEx</strong>, and similar programs.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Don’t meet every single requirement?
