This hybrid leadership role combines key responsibilities of branch operations management with hands-on dispatch and logistics oversight to maximize service quality, profitability, and daily workflow efficiency. If you're a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to grow with a company that values hard work and dedication.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities and Qualifications</h2>\n<strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong>\n<strong>Operations & Efficiency Management</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Direct and coordinate overall operations to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness</li>\n <li>Plan, develop, and implement operational policies across warehousing, transportation, and customer service</li>\n <li>Design and manage a central dispatch system to improve logistics and workflow</li>\n <li>Implement operational changes and continuous improvement initiatives</li>\n <li>Monitor and manage operating budgets for warehouse, manufacturing, and transportation functions</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Dispatching & Logistics Coordination</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedule and dispatch delivery crews in a safe and efficient manner to maximize productivity and profitability</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate communication of all delivery orders with warehouse and delivery teams</li>\n <li>Utilize and maintain DOT-compliant dispatch systems</li>\n <li>Confirm addresses, materials, stocking conditions, and delivery requirements prior to dispatch</li>\n <li>Provide direction to drivers when logistical or customer service issues arise</li>\n <li>Manage material accuracy and verification for each delivery while monitoring labor cost efficiency</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Customer Relations & Communication</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain communication with customers before, during, and after deliveries</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers</li>\n <li>Communicate delivery status updates to customers, sales teams, and management</li>\n <li>Escalate customer or delivery concerns to the Branch Manager as needed</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Technology & Reporting</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and dispatch accuracy</li>\n <li>Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal dispatch systems</li>\n <li>Support implementation of new tools to enhance delivery accuracy and service quality</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Compliance, Facility & Resource Management</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure trucking operations comply with DOT requirements</li>\n <li>Follow OSHA regulations and company safety standards</li>\n <li>Oversee warehouse conditions, equipment, cleanliness, and storage efficiency</li>\n <li>Coordinate with purchasing and receiving teams to ensure accurate and timely material arrivals</li>\n <li>Maintain communication with vendors regarding missing materials, backorders, or delivery challenges</li>\n <li>Maintain confidentiality of pricing, customer data, financial reports, and proprietary methods</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned to support branch and corporate objectives</li>\n</ul>  \n<strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Building materials product knowledge strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field, or equivalent experience</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2+ years of management or leadership experience</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) preferred</li>\n <li>Strong computer and data-entry skills</li>\n <li>Ability to read maps and provide clear driving directions</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage fast-paced scheduling demands</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive mindset</li>\n <li>Effective interpersonal skills with customers, peers, and drivers</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with limited oversight</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation and Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Reports To</u></strong></p>\n<p>Branch Manager</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Compensation</u></strong></p>\n<p>The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state.
