    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Maintenance Mechanic</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span>As a General Maintenance Mechanic at RUSH Facilities, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of various equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of machinery, including but not limited to elevators and hoists, pumps, compressors and all other mechanical equipment as directed. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in daily operations in house and for our clients. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">If you’re looking for a great place to work that’s involved in exciting projects on the booming Space Coast of Florida, then please apply!</span></span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p>Repairs and maintains general building spaces, building equipment, and all other mechanical equipment as needed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<span> </span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">include the following</span>:</p>\n<p>*Other duties may be assigned requiring skills of a like or less demanding nature.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.</li>\n<li>Diagnose and repair machinery malfunctions, electrical, and mechanical problems.</li>\n<li>Perform equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance performance and reliability.</li>\n<li>Document maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule repairs.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform minor metal framing and drywall work.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform painting and coating work including preparation.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform minor electrical work to include, switch replacements, bulb and ballast replacement, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform minor plumbing repairs.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate construction equipment, i.e. lifts, backhoes, etc. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Repairs faulty equipment or systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Receives company provided training concerning, but not limited to, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Safety, Accident Reporting and Prevention, fall protection and others, and applies this training during working hours as applicable. Reports unsafe working conditions to appropriate level as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Completes required documentation for both the company and the client in timely manner. Documentation is legible and accurate to the best of the employee’s knowledge.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist other technicians as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience of not less than five years working as a general mechanic in facilities maintenance environment required. Knowledge, understanding and the ability to research, read, comprehend and apply applicable codes and ordinances are required. Well versed in lock-out/tag-out use and practices.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LEADERSHIP SKILLS:</span></p>\n<p>Position requires a demonstration of strong leadership skills, including but not limited to; communications skills, ability to analyze information and take responsibility, work independently as well as with a team, resolve conflicts, identify issues and implement solutions. Previous management experience will be an asset. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LANGUAGE SKILLS</span><span> </span>Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English is required. Communication includes both verbal and written skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with other tradesmen as well as peers, supervision and customers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</span><span> </span>Simple mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Must also have the ability to understand concepts such as diameter, radius, circumference, etc….</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REASONING ABILITY</span><span> </span>Must have a good sense of mechanical systems and understands the concepts that make them operate in a safe and efficient condition.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</span><span> </span>- Certified in fall protection</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to climb, work in hot or cold environments within the scope of OSHA and other applicable jurisdiction regulations, perform confined space entry via manhole or other available ingress/egress points, must be able to safely carry and or hold a minimum of fifty (50) pounds and perform all required range of motions normally expected of a person performing maintenance work. Employee must be able to work standing up, sitting, crouching or lying prone while properly using hand and power tools to perform assigned tasks. Employee must be able to work while wearing prescribed safety equipment including safety shoes While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands / arms are also required. The ability to communicate while working, both via speech and hearing is required. Vision requirements include the ability to see close work, see distance, use depth perception and adjust focus both for distance and for changing light conditions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORK ENVIRONMENT</span></p>\n<p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Exposure to hot (up to 120 degree Fahrenheit) and Cold (down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit) for short periods of time (and with appropriate protective equipment) may be experienced. The work environment frequently requires exposure to mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
