    "requisitionDescription": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>Position Overview</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Calibration Technician A will apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical -- DC/Low Frequency, Electrical, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time &amp; Frequency disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy. The Calibration Technician Apprentice will identify and utilize appropriate manual and automated measurement procedures. This position will normally receive detailed instructions on work, acquire job skills, learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks, and work on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required. The Calibration Technician Apprentice will perform laboratory housekeeping and may be required to report opinions and interpretations. The position .is not required to modify methods, develop new methods or validate new methods.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities and Duties</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&amp;TE) in one or more of the following disciplines &ndash; Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical -- DC/Low Frequency, Electrical -- RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, Time &amp; Frequency, to ensure compliance with published specifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify IM&amp;TE out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc. Managers, and customers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify and correct measurement errors, as applicable.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare calibration reports and certificates.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Interact with other technicians, Customer Service Representatives, Account Managers, and customers</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to perform general math and algebra functions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of MS Office applications</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be a self-starter with innovation, integrity, and attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within multiple departments</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">No previous calibration training required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum High School diploma or equivalent</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Physical Demands</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance. Occasional standing and bending are required and repetitive computer work.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Working Environment</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working primarily in a laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and/or customer site.
