He/She interfaces with all departments/services and is responsible for identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infections in the facility. This is accomplished through the collection and analysis of infection control data; the planning, implementation, and evaluation of infection prevention and control measures; the education of individuals about infection risk, prevention, and control; the development and revision of infection control policies and procedures; the investigation of suspected outbreaks of infection; and the provision of consultation on infection risk assessment, prevention and control strategies. The Employee Health Nurse interfaces with all departments/services and is responsible for the direction of the Employee Health Program, coordinates the daily activities of the employee Health Department by tracking and notifying employees due for injections and other employee health requirements, administers and documents all injections given through the Employee Health Department, audits and maintains Employee Health files, and tracks aggregating data for numerous reports.&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span>&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><ol><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Must hold a current state license (RN, from an accredited school of nursing) and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing</span>&nbsp;</li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Three years of experience as an RN, with a minimum of one year of infection control experience, preferably in a LTACH</span>&nbsp;</li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Continued education in the area of Infection Control/Epidemiology preferred</span>&nbsp;</li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Basic computer skills with minimal guidance</span>&nbsp;</li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.&nbsp;</span> &nbsp;</li></ol><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\"><strong>PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></span> &nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Physical: Walking - up to 50% Standing - up to 50% Kneeling - up to 25%</span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">&nbsp;Sitting - up to 50% Pushing - up to 25% Bending - up to 25%</span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">&nbsp;Squatting - up to 25% Pulling - up to 25% Reaching - up to 25%&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">&nbsp;Lifting - up to 50 lbs Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\">Mental: Stress Level: High&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(81,81,81);font-size: 15px;\"><strong>EXPOSURE RISK:</strong> Category I &ndash; Jobs in which required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucus membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes.
