By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, IND<u>US</u> continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Program Manager, the <strong>Water Department Supervisor</strong> will report into the Facility-Maintenance Department and will manage the company’s water infrastructure, waste distribution system, and equipment in an operating and functional condition. Duties include but not limited to water repairs and installations of water/waste systems. Will oversee and maintain company required and state mandated water certifications and licenses.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a <strong>contingent</strong> position expected to be located in <strong>Hawthorne, NV</strong>. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the treatment and operation of water collection, storage, treatment, and distribution systems to include wells, tanks, valves, pumps, controls and chemical injection systems.</li>\n <li>Review Task Hazard Assessment (THA's) prior to assigned duties and follow Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials.</li>\n <li>Responsible for work accomplished in accordance with compliance of state permit(s).</li>\n <li>Ensure all samples are collected in accordance with State Permits.Responsible for compiling all necessary reports to remain in compliance with drinking water and wastewater standards.</li>\n <li>Work in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, procedures and policies are met, to ensure efficient completion of any project.</li>\n <li>Provide adequate services, to ensure that all water and waste systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes safely.</li>\n <li>Maintain record of time and materials used on jobs and ensure job orders are complete.</li>\n <li>Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of water infrastructure and waste distribution system.</li>\n <li>Work under general supervision and from oral instructions, preventive maintenance program plans, work orders, emergency calls, layout sketches, blueprints, drawings, specifications, or similar guidance.</li>\n <li>Ensure work is performed based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, and meeting completion dates.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain an <strong>active</strong> secret clearance</li>\n <li>Seven (7) years of water treatment/wastewater experience.</li>\n <li>Two (2) years in a supervisory role.</li>\n <li>Must have Nevada state Treatment 4 certification, Distribution 2 certification, Wastewater 1. \n  <ul>\n   <li>Certifications with reciprocity agreements in other states may qualify.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain Backflow Tester Certification within six (6) months of starting.</li>\n <li>Must be willing/able to be trained to operate forklift/fork truck or material handling lifting devices.</li>\n <li>Able to wear various levels of personal protective equipment.</li>\n <li>Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid Driver’s License.</li>\n <li>Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Must possess strong time management skills.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.</li>\n <li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. </li>\n <li>The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. </li>\n <li>The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities. </li>\n <li>The ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision.
