We are searching for a <strong>Senior Extrusion Engineer </strong>to join our team located at our plant in Temple, TX. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p>\n<p>The Sr. Extrusion Engineer provides business unit-wide technical leadership for extrusion processes, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and product quality. This role combines hands-on process ownership with strategic guidance, supporting new product development, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer collaborates cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Marketing to deliver advanced extrusion technologies aligned with business objectives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Process Development & Optimization:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Design, develop, and implement extrusion processes to improve throughput, gauge control, material utilization and OEE.</li>\n   <li>Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process deviations and equipment issues.</li>\n   <li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.</li>\n   <li>Support Operations by providing technical guidance as a subject matter expert and creating Best Practices for BU-wide implementation</li>\n   <li>Suggests and leads capital investment projects delivering best-in-class extrusion capabilities and conversion costs.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>New Product & Material Qualification:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Partner with R&D to scale up new materials and technologies (e.g., PCR, PFAS-free solutions).</li>\n   <li>Define trial plans, guide technicians, and analyze data to support commercialization utilizing Six-Sigma Methodologies (DOE, DFSS, etc)</li>\n   <li>Identify and lead projects to support and achieve Marketing Innovation, Material cost saving and Operational efficiency objectives.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Equipment & Tooling Management:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Evaluate extrusion equipment capabilities; recommend upgrades or modifications.</li>\n   <li>Design and refine tooling to meet product specifications and operational efficiency goals.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Documentation & Compliance:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintain SOPs, process parameters, and technical documentation.</li>\n   <li>Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Training & Leadership:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Mentor engineers and technicians; provide technical training on extrusionoperations.</li>\n   <li>Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>You will love it here if…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You put safety first, always </li>\n <li>You listen, learn, and evolve </li>\n <li>You are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goals </li>\n <li>You treat all people with respect, operating ethically, and embrace inclusivity</li>\n <li>You are committed to improving our impact on local communities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We need you to have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Polymer Engineering, or related field</li>\n <li>7+ years in extrusion engineering (blown film or multi-layer preferred).</li>\n <li>Proven success in process optimization and new product introduction.</li>\n <li>Deep knowledge of thermoplastics, die design, cooling systems, and extrusion machinery.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Icing on the cake:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Polymer Engineering, or related field.</li>\n <li>Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing, Extrusion Technology.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>If you answer yes to the following…we want to meet you!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intellectual Curiosity: Do you have an inquisitive nature?</li>\n <li>Problem Solving: Do you have a knack for tackling issues head-on? </li>\n <li>Entrepreneurship: Do you enjoy taking ownership of your work?</li>\n <li>Customer Centricity: Do you always act in the best interests of the customer, putting their needs first? </li>\n <li>Growth Mindset: Do you focus on progress rather than perfection?</li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement: Are you never satisfied with the status quo? </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Want to know more?
