Here's what will set you up for success in this role:</p></div><div><ul><li>Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) or certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/in), or a completed degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance, with 3-7+ years of professional experience in accounting or auditing.</li><li>Solid, in-depth DATEV knowledge is an absolute must-have. You know the system inside out and use it efficiently for daily work as well as for collaboration with tax advisors.</li><li>Able to confidently manage a multi-entity, multi-currency close. You have done intercompany reconciliations before and know where the complexity hides.</li><li>Solid command of HGB with a strong working knowledge of IFRS. You can operate across both frameworks without needing hand-holding.</li><li>Identifies what's broken in an accounting setup and fixes it without being asked. You build the function the same way you run it.</li><li>Fluent in German and English (C2 in both). The finance team works in English; external accounting is predominantly in German.</li><li>Based in Berlin or elsewhere in Germany, with full flexibility for remote and hybrid work. While the team is regularly on-site in our Berlin office to make decisions and stress-test ideas, this role is fully location-independent within Germany.
