About the role The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Ripple Fiber equipment in accordance with customer requirements, and company standards. Field Service Technicians are also responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities: Managing all last mile (Drop and in home and business networks) and the Access and in home and or business equipment. Fault Finding to resolve complaints. Create and maintain network documentation. Using monitoring network performance tools to troubleshoot problem areas. Assist with escalations (2nd Line support) to resolve end user issues. Configuring maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing Broadband services such as Wi-Fi Routers and smart home devices. Routing of a Fiber Optic drop cable from a termination box to a router’s location. In-Home and business network to connect clients. Assist customers in connecting their home devices to the Ripple Fiber network. Qualifications: Skills Required Must have a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record. Ability to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices. Experience working in customer service, construction, electrical, technical or related field is a plus. Clean driving record. Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Identify wire and cable colors. Qualify on pre-employment assessments. Be available for overtime, emergency call outs and holiday work. Physical Demands Lift and move up-to 60 lbs. – some of our ladders weigh 50-60 lbs. At times work in small spaces or lofts (up to 28 ft.). Must meet ladder safety weight requirements (maximum 275 lbs. including gear) in accordance with OSHA standards. Field Service Technicians are also responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service.\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nResponsibilities:\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tManaging all last mile (Drop and in home and business networks) and the Access and in home and or business equipment.\\r\\n\\tFault Finding to resolve complaints.\\r\\n\\tCreate and maintain network documentation.\\r\\n\\tUsing monitoring network performance tools to troubleshoot problem areas.\\r\\n\\tAssist with escalations (2nd Line support) to resolve end user issues.\\r\\n\\tConfiguring maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing Broadband services such as Wi-Fi Routers and smart home devices.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tRouting of a Fiber Optic drop cable from a termination box to a router&rsquo;s location.\\r\\n\\tIn-Home and business network to connect clients.\\r\\n\\tAssist customers in connecting their home devices to the Ripple Fiber network.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nQualifications:\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nSkills Required\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tMust have a valid state driver&rsquo;s license and safe driving record.\\r\\n\\tAbility to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices.\\r\\n\\tExperience working in customer service, construction, electrical, technical or related field is a plus.\\r\\n\\tClean driving record.\\r\\n\\tWork a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.\\r\\n\\tIdentify wire and cable colors.\\r\\n\\tQualify on pre-employment assessments.\\r\\n\\tBe available for overtime, emergency call outs and holiday work.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nPhysical Demands\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tLift and move up-to 60 lbs. &ndash; some of our ladders weigh 50-60 lbs.\\r\\n\\tAt times work in small spaces or lofts (up to 28 ft.).\\r\\n\\tMust meet ladder safety weight requirements (maximum 275 lbs. including gear) in accordance with OSHA standards.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nWe offer competitive pay, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) with company match, and a supportive work environment where innovation and teamwork thrive.
