This position also includes functions of cashier, telephone operator, and health information clerk.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:\n1.\tHigh School diploma or GED equivalent. Experience of three years in a patient registration environment, \n2.\tTraining and education obtained by completion of a medical assistant program that results in an approved medical assistant certificate.  \n3.\tKnowledge of medical terminology\n4.\tBasic understanding of common diagnostic tests (e.g. CBC, CMP, U.A).\n5.\tUnderstanding of service authorizations (e.g. TARS, Medi-Care, Medi-Cal Managed Care,      PPO, HMO)\n6.\tBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.\nSalary Range: $16.00-$20.00",
