    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Position Title: Electronic Technician (I, II, III, IV)</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Work Location: Chesapeake, VA<br>FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt<br>REQ#26_01086C</span></span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\"><br><br></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary of duties</span> – The Electronic Technician (I, II, III, IV) must possess minimum higher educational requirements, a thorough understanding of electricity/electronics, basic/accelerated wiring skills, the use of common/specialty hand tools and the use of general purpose test equipment. Tasks are accomplished as assigned by the Installation Supervisor and in accordance with company work instructions/NAVSEA standard items. Periodically required to lift/move equipment up to and including 50 pounds. Additional duties and/or responsibilities of other positions may also be assigned for which qualifications are met to include Installation Supervisor on routine or low risk installations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Specific description of duties: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for assisting in electrical/electronic installations, wiring of assemblies, and troubleshooting of cabling and equipment. Additional responsibilities could include opening as well as closing cableways, cable trunks, and multi cable transits; transporting material/tools to and from the worksite; standing fire watch; painting; lagging; and assisting in weld preparation/fit up. Must be extremely familiar with systems removal and installation to include but not limited to:<br>* HVAC ducting, piping etc<br>* Cabling (copper and fiber)<br>* Equipment racks<br>* Lockers/Furniture<br>* Fiddle boards<br>* Connection boxes<br>* Power panels<br>* Lighting<br>* Antennas/Radomes<br>* Foundations<br>* Waveguide<br>* Decking<br>* Multi pin/Fiber Optic/RF and other type connectors<br>* Cable tags/Wire markers<br>* Problem Solving/Troubleshooting<br>* Provide installation assistance during SOVT<br>* Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization's mission, objectives and goals.<br>* Overtime is routinely required but not guaranteed.<br>* Travel outside the local area may be required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education/Specialized Training:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Level I:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or GED may be mandatory depending on contract stipulations.</li>\n<li>Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in relatable electrical/electronic field. Military schooling, depending on scope and relevance of training, may also suffice.</li>\n<li>Non-degreed personnel may qualify, depending on depth of electrical/electronic knowledge and experience, however, must have a minimum of four (4) years technical experience in installation, modification, field change, systems operation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and or repair of various military combat systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Level II:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or GED may be mandatory depending on contract stipulations.</li>\n<li>Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in relatable electrical/electronic field with two (2) years practical hands on experience. Military schooling, depending on scope and relevance of training, may also suffice.</li>\n<li>Non-degreed personnel may qualify, depending on depth of electrical/electronic knowledge and experience, however, must have a minimum of five (5) years technical experience in installation, modification, field change, systems operation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and or repair of various military combat systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Level III:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or GED may be mandatory depending on contract stipulations.</li>\n<li>Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in relatable electrical/electronic field with four (4) years practical hands on experience. Military schooling, depending on scope and relevance of training, may also suffice.</li>\n<li>Non-degreed personnel may qualify, depending on depth of electrical/electronic knowledge and experience, however, must have a minimum of six (6) years technical experience in installation, modification, field change, systems operation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and or repair of various military combat systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Level IV:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or GED may be mandatory depending on contract stipulations.</li>\n<li>Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in relatable electrical/electronic field with four (4) years practical hands on experience. Military schooling, depending on scope and relevance of training, may also suffice.</li>\n<li>Non-degreed personnel may qualify, depending on depth of electrical/electronic knowledge and experience, however, must have a minimum of seven (7) years technical experience in installation, modification, field change, systems operation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and or repair of various military combat systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Security Clearance:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Clearance up to Secret level may be required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certifications/Licenses (as required for the task being performed)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cableway certification</li>\n<li>Multi-pin connector certification</li>\n<li>Fiber Optic connector certification</li>\n<li>Fire watch certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical/Environmental Job Requirements:</span><br>Physical requirements include the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds</li>\n<li>Routinely climbing several flights of stairs</li>\n<li>Performing tasks in confined spaces</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our work is primarily onboard naval vessels that may include variables of physical activity, i.e. stooping, climbing, walking, etc.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">In performing these duties, you may be required to work outdoors.
